Tugas Akhir yang ditulis oleh penulis berjudul Digitalisasi Arsip Di Badan Pengusahaan Batam (BP BATAM) memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan tentang digitalisasi arsip di Badan Pengusahaan Batam, terutama terkait mengenai sarana prasarana, dan sumber daya, prosedur teknis, penyimpanan paska digitalisasi, tahapan temu kembali, legalitas arsip yang telah didigitalisasi, dan kendala dalam proses digitalisasi arsip. Dalam penulisan Tugas Akhir, penulis menggunakan tiga metode dalam mengkaji pemasalahan diatas yaitu studi pustaka, observasi partisipatif, dan wawancara. Pertama, studi pustaka dengan cara membandingkan antara teori dengan dengan kenyataan yang ada di lapangan dari buku ataupun artikel jurnal. Kedua, observasi partisipatif, dengan cara berpartisipasi langsung di lapangan dalam proses digitalisasi, dan ketiga, wawancara dengan narasumber yang terkait dengan cara tanya jawab kepada narasumber secara lisan. Hasil dari kegiatan digitalisasi arsip di Badan Pengusahaan Batam (BP BATAM) yakni berupa peralatan hardware dan software , prosedur yang dimulai dari persiapan, scanning, dan saving. Penyimpanan paska digitalisasi yaitu menyimpan arsip secara fisik maupun elektronil atau softfile. Tahap temu kembali arsip dilakukan dengan komputer dan sistem SI MAIA AUS atau Sistem Informasi Manajemen Arsip Inaktif Badan Pengusahaan Batam. Kendala dalam proses digitalisasi arsip yaitu masih kurangnya sarana dan prasarana, sumber daya manusia, legalitas arsip, komunikasi, hubungan kerjasama dan sistem aplikasi.

The final report written by the writer entitled Digitalization of Records in Batam Enterprises Agency (BP BATAM) has the purpose to describe the digitization of archives in Batam Entreprises, especially regarding infrastructure, and resources, technical procedures, post-digitization storage, retrieval, the legality of archives that have been digitized and constraints in the process of digitizing the archives. In the writing of final report, the writer used three methods, they are literature study, participatory observation and interview. In the first method, the writer compared the theories in the book or jurnal articles to the reality or fact.. the second one, the writer was in the process of digitizing directly and in the last method, the writer asked to the persons as the sources of informations. The result of the digitalization of archives at Batam Enterprises Agency (BP BATAM) are the digital facilities in the hardware, and software form which are started from preparation, scanning, and saving. The next result is Postdigitization storage which store the records physically or electronically or softfile. The retrieval stage of the records was done by computer and SI MAIA AUS System or Archives Informations Management System Inaktif Batam Enterprises Agency. The constraints in the process of records digitalization are the lacks of facilities and infrastructure, human resources, records legality, communication, cooperation relationship and application system.
