INTISARI Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji secara empiris pengaruh akuntabilitas terhadap kinerja sekolah dengan komitmen organisasi dan kepemimpinan transformasional sebagai pemoderasi pada sekolah dasar negeri yang berada di pulau Nias. Empat kabupaten di pula Nias termasuk kategori daerah tertinggal di Indonesia. Kuesioner penelitian ini diberikan kepada guru dan pegawai sekolah dasar negeri pada lima kabupaten di pulau Nias. Dari 2.223 kuesioner yang disebarkan, hanya 426 kuesioner yang dapat digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan metode purposive sampling sedangkan pengujian hipotesis menggunakan Moderating Regression Analysis (MRA). Hasil penelitian ini memberikan bukti empiris bahwa akuntabilitas berpengaruh terhadap kinerja sekolah dasar negeri di pulau Nias. Sedangkan Komitmen organisasi dan kepemimpinan transformasional terbukti tidak memoderasi pengaruh akuntabilitas terhadap kinerja sekolah dasar negeri di pulau Nias.

ABSTRACT This study aims to empirically examine the influence of accountability toward school performance with organizational commitment and transformational leadership as moderating variables in public elementary school located on the island of Nias. Four districts in Nias island belongs to the category of disadvantaged areas in Indonesia. The questionnaires were sent to the teachers and employees of public elementary school in five districts in Nias island. 2.223 questionnaires were distributed, but only 426 questionnaires can be used in this study. The sampling technique using purposive sampling method. Moderating Regression Analysis (MRA) was apllied to test the objective of the research. The test results showed that: Accountability has a positive influence on the school performance while organizational commitment and transformational leadership does not moderate the influence of accountability to school performance.
