PENGARUH GAMAVET MINERAL BLOK TERHADAP KADAR MAGNESIUM DAN KALIUM DARAH SAPI PERANAKAN ONGOLE DI KABUPATEN GROBOGAN

Sapi peranakan ongole (PO) merupakan ternak unggulan di Kabupaten Grobogan. Kasus defisiensi mineral pada sapi PO di Kabupaten Grobogan cukup tinggi. Gamavet Mineral Blok adalah produk suplemen mineral untuk mengatasi defisiensi mineral. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian Gamavet Mineral Blok terhadap kadar magnesium (Mg) dan kalium (K) serum darah sapi Peranakan Ongole (PO) di Kabupaten Grobogan. Penelitian menggunakan 10 ekor sapi potong PO betina dewasa. Gamavet Mineral Blok diberikan dengan cara digantung diatas tempat pakan, sejumlah satu blok per minggu selama satu bulan. Sampel darah diambil sebelum dan sesudah perlakuan. Serum dipisahkan dari darah dan disimpan dalam freezer sampai dilakukan pemeriksaan. Kadar magnesium dan kalium dalam serum dianalisa menggunakan metode Inductively Couple Plasma method (ICP). Data hasil penelitian dianalisa menggunakan software Stastitical Product Service Solution (SPSS) dengan metode Paired T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kadar magnesium sebelum perlakuan 2,21 mg/dL dan setelah perlakuan 2,49 mg/dL, kadar kalium sebelum perlakuan 19,99 mg/dL dan setelah perlakuan 20,63 mg/dL. Dapat disimpulkan Gamavet Mineral Blok meningkatkan kadar magnesium secara signifikan (P<0,05) dan meningkatkan kadar kalium yang tidak signifikan (P>0,05). Perlu dilakukan penelitian lebih lanjut untuk jangka waktu pemberian Gamavet Mineral Blok yang tepat untuk pencegahan gangguan defisiensi mineral.

Ongole crossbred was the leading livestock in Grobogan Regency. The case of mineral deficiency on ongole crossbred cattle in Grobogan was quite high. Gamavet Mineral Block was the mineral supplements product to overcome mineral deficiency. This study aims to determine the magnesium and potassium profile in blood serum of cows farmed in Grobogan Regency. This study used 10 ongole crossbred cows. Gamavet Mineral Block given by hanging it on the feeding tray, one block each week for 1 month. The blood samples collected before and after fed by Gamavet Mineral Block. The serum was separated from the blood and stored in the freezer before examined. The magnesium and potassium level in serum were analyzed by Inductively Couple Plasma method (ICP). The results analyzed by Stastitical Product Service Solution (SPSS) software using Paired T-test method. Results of the study showed that magnesium level was 2.21 mg/dL before treatment increased to 2.49 mg/dL after treatment, potassium level was 19.99 mg/dL before treatment increased to 20.63 mg/dL after treatment. In conclusion can be inferred the granting that Gamavet Mineral Blocks significantly increasing magnesium level and increasing potassium level not significantly. It needs further research for determining the longer duration of the granting Gamavet Mineral Blocks for prevent mineral deficiencies.
