PENGARUH UMUR TERHADAP KONSENTRASI PGF 2ALFA YANG DIKOLEKSI DARI GLANDULA VESIKULA SEMINALIS SAPI JANTAN

Umur pubertas pada ternak sangat penting untuk mengetahui aktivitas kelamin. Selain itu salah satu faktor yang mempengaruhi reproduksi adalah hormon. Hormon yang berpengaruh salah satunya adalah Prostaglandin (PGF)2alfa. Pada penelitian sebelumnya penambahan umur ternak juga menyebabkan penambahan pada ukuran vesikula seminalis.Materi yang digunakan adalah 25 ekor sapi jantan di Rumah Potong Hewan (RPH) Swasta milik Pak Ilham di Segoroyoso, Yogyakarta. Sapi tersebut dibagi dalam tiga kelompok umur untuk memudahkan menentukan pengaruh terhadap hormon PGF2alfa±. Kelompok I (umur 1-1,9 tahun) sebanyak 2 ekor sapi, Kelompok II (umur 2 - 2,9 tahun) sebanyak 13 ekor sapi, Kelompok III (umur 3-3,9 tahun) sebanyak 8 ekor sapi, dan Kelompok IV (umur 4-4,9 tahun) sebanyak 2 ekor sapi. Analisa pengaruh umur terhadap konsentrasi PGF 2alfa dilakukan dengan menggunakan one way ANOVA. Hasil penilitian yang didapat konsentrasi PGF2alfa umur 1-1,9 tahun, umur 2-2,9 tahun, umur 3-3,9 tahun, umur 4-4,9 tahun masing masing adalah 8,3 ± 4,9 pg/ml; 6,6 ± 2,7 pg/ml; 5,9 ± 1,0 pg/ml; 4,6 ± 0,3 pg/ml. Dari hasil penelitian didapat kesimpulan bahwa umur tidak mempengaruhi konsentrasi PGF2alfa pada sapi jantan. Keyword: umur, vesikaseminalis, konsentrasi PGF2alfa.

Age of puberty in cattle is an important thing to knowing its sexual activity. In addition, one factor that influences the reproduction is hormone, for example, is prostaglandin (PGF) 2alfa. Previous studies have shown that the increase of cattles age cause an increase of seminal vesicles size. The material used in this study was 25 bulls at Slaughter House owned by Mr. Ilham in Segoroyoso, Yogyakarta, a place where the slaughter of sacrificial animal in the Sleman area done. The cows were divided into three age groups to make it easier to determine the influence of age on PGF2alfa hormones. Group I (age 1-1.9 years) consist of two cows, Group II (age 2 to 2.9 years) consist of 13 cows. Group III (age 3-3,9 years) as many as eight cows. Group IV (age 4-4,9 years) consist two cows. Analysis of the influence of the age of the concentration of PGF 2alfa were made by using one way ANOVA. The obtained results PGF2alfa concentrations from 1 to 1.9 years, age 2 to 2.9 years, age 3 to 3.9 years, age 4 to 4.9 years respectively is 8.3 ± 4.9 pg / ml ; 6.6 ± 2.7 pg / ml; 5.9 ± 1.0 pg / ml; 4.6 ± 0.3 pg / ml. From the results of this study concluded that age does not affect an PGF2alfa concentration on bulls. Keyword: age, seminal vesicle, PGF2alfa concentration.
