HUBUNGAN ANTARA KECERDASAN EMOSI DENGAN COPING PADA GAMER

Telah banyak penelitian yang membahas mengenai hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan coping menghadapi stres. Walaupun begitu, masih jarang yang meneliti hubungan keduanya pada para pemain game. Oleh karena itu, tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menguji secara empiris hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan coping stres pada gamer. Hipotesis yang diajukan pada penelitian ini ialah adanya hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi dengan coping stres. Subjek pada penelitian ini merupakan 101 mahasiswa yang bermain game dengan rentang usia 17 � 25 tahun. Data dianalisis menggunakan teknik korelasi product moment pearson. Hasil dari analisis menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara kecerdasan emosi dan coping stres (p < 0.001; r =0.586). Berdasarkan hal tersebut, maka dapat dinyatakan bahwa hipotesis diterima

There are numerous studies about the relationship between emotional intelligence and coping stress. However, there�s still a few studies that examined the relationship of those two in gamer. Hence, the aimed of this study is to empirically examined the relationshp between emotional intelligence and coping stress in gamer. The hypothesis of this study stated that there was a relationship between emotional intellegence and coping stress. Participants of the study were 101 collage students who is played video game with age range from 17 to 25. Product moment technique was used to analyze the data. The result of the study showed that there is a significant and positive relationship between emotional intelligence and coping stress (p < 0,001; r = 0,586). Based on this result, the hypothesis was accepted.
