PEMETAAN POTENSI PARIWISATA DESA GIRIREJO, IMOGIRI, BANTUL

Belum adanya informasi wisata yang lebih terperinci dan belum dilakukan inventarisasi objek wisata serta sektor pendukung pariwisata berupa sumber daya manusia dan prasarana wisata yang ada di Desa Girirejo, Imogiri, Bantul membuat perkembangan potensi pariwisata desa tersebut tidak maksimal. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan mengetahui potensi pariwisata desa yang ada dan pemetaan potensi pariwisata di Desa Girirejo, Imogiri, Bantul. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode pemetaan menggunakan citra penginderaan jauh beresolusi tinggi, SPOT-5 dan diolah menggunakan Sistem Informasi Geografis (SIG) sehingga potensi pariwisata yang ada di desa tersebut dapat ditampilkan secara spasial. Selain itu metode analisis deskriptif juga digunakan untuk memperjelas informasi mengenai objek-objek wisata yang ada. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bawa terdapat tiga jenis potensi pariwisata yang ada di Desa Girirejo berupa wisata religi, wisata industri dan wisata kuliner, dimana potensi yang paling menonjol adalah wisata religi. Secara spasial potensi-potensi pariwisata tersebut letaknya mengelompok yaitu berada di Dusun Pajimatan dan Dusun Banyusumurup.

The absence of more detailed of tourism information and the information about tourism destination, supporting sectors of tourism such as human resources and infastructure in rural tourism destination like in village of Girirejo, Imogiri, Bantul make the development of potential tourism is not maximized. Therefore, this study was conducted with aim of knowing the potential tourism in Girirejo and mapping the potential of tourism in Girirejo. The method that used in this study is a method of mapping using high resolution remote sensing imagery, SPOT-5 and processed using Geographic Information System (GIS) so that the potential of tourism can be displayed spatially. In addition, descriptive analysis method is also used to clarify and explain more information about the tourism destinations. The result of this study indicate there are three types of tourism in Girirejo. They are religious tourism, industrial tourism dan culinary tourism which is the most potential types of tourism is religious tourism. Spatially, those tourism destinations are located clustered in Banyusumurup and Pajimatan.
