Pengaruh Paparan Fan Fiction dalam Fandom One Direction terhadap Sikap Afektif, Kognitif, dan Behavioral mengenai Homoseksualitas

Akses internet membuat komunitas atau kelompok-kelompok kecil di dunia maya berkembang. Kelompok fan dari produk budaya tertentu berkembang menjadi fandom atau fanatic domain yang ikut aktif melakukan reproduksi pesan terkait dengan idola mereka. Salah satu dari produksi fan disebut fan fiction, yaitu sebuah fiksi dengan latar atau set yang telah ada sebelumnya. Demikian pula dengan fandom One Direction, personelnya yang seluruhnya terdiri dari laki-laki mendorong para fan berimajinasi tentang hubungan spesial yang terjadi di antara para personel dan bersifat homoseksual. Maka, fan fiction yang diproduksi oleh fans One Direction pun banyak yang termasuk porno dan bergenre homoseksual. Padahal, Indonesia belum menentukan posisi terhadap isu LGBT. Sesuai dengan target pasarnya, fandom One Direction didominasi anak-anak remaja yang memiliki keingintahuan yang tinggi, serta mudah membentuk persepsi. Berdasarkan teori Reinforcing Spiral Framework oleh Slater, keberadaan media fan fiction yang dikonsumsi secara rutin oleh remaja dapat membentuk sikap positif pembacanya terhadap homoseksualitas. Berangkat dari asumsi tersebut, penelitian ini dirumuskan dengan Bagaimana pengaruh paparan fan fiction fandom One Direction terhadap sikap mengenai homoseksualitas? Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Survei dilakukan pada 400 sampel, dari populasi remaja yang mengonsumsi fan fiction pornoteks One Direction di seluruh Indonesia. Temuan pada penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara paparan media pornoteks terhadap sikap mengenai homoseksualitas. Konsumsi fan fiction pornoteks pada remaja terbilang tinggi. Sikap mereka terhadap keberadaan homoseksualitas pun bisa dianggap positif. Perilaku mereka dalam mengonsumsi teks porno masih tidak diakui terang-terangan, namun isu homoseksualitas cenderung dianggap lebih terbuka dan tidak tabu.

Internet access motivates communities within grows. Fans from a particular culture product grows into fandom. They actively do reproduction of messages about their idols, such as fan fiction. Fan fiction is a fiction based on other works, or with existed settings. Same things happen with One Direction. They are consisted of males, and it motivates their fans to have imagination about special homosexual relationships among them. Therefore, most of fan fictions produced by One Directions fans are porn and homosexuals. Whereas, Indonesia is the country that not yet settle its position towards LGBT issue. Suits the market target, One Direction fandom is dominated by teenagers. As a human being, teenagers have a high curiosity level, and their perceptions are still easily formed. Based on Reinforcing Spiral Framework Theory by Slater, routine consumption of porn fan fiction can form the audiences belief towards homosexuality. Derives from the assumption, the question from this research is, how do One Directions fan fiction exposure influence teenagers attitude towards homosexuality? This research uses quantitative approach with and survey as the chosen method. Survey was held into 400 samples, from the population of teenagers that consume One Directions porn fan fiction, all over Indonesia. The result of this research shows that there is a correlation between porn media exposure and attitude towards homosexuality. The consumption of porn fan fiction on teenager is high. Their attitude towards homosexuality is tend to be positive. They do not admit their behavior of consuming porn texts, but the homosexuality issue tend to be open and not considered taboo.
