EFISIENSI PENGGUNAAN PROTEIN DAN ENERGI AYAM PEDAGING YANG MENDAPATKAN PAKAN DENGAN SUPLEMENTASI FITOBIOTIK TEPUNG RIMPANG TEMULAWAK DAN JAHE MERAH

2017 | Skripsi | S1 ILMU DAN INDUSTRI PETERNAKANPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh suplementasi fitobiotik tepung rimpang temulawak dan tepung rimpang jahe merah terhadap efisiensi penggunaan protein serta energi pakan ayam pedaging. Sebanyak 180 ekor ayam pedaging jantan strain New Lohmann MB 202 dibagikan secara acak dalam 5 perlakuan pakan dan dipelihara secara kelompok dengan kondisi yang sama selama 35 hari. Setiap perlakuan digunakan 6 kali ulangan yang masing-masing terdiri dari 6 ekor ayam per kandang replikasi. Pakan yang diberikan berupa pakan starter dan grower yang mendapatkan suplementasi tepung rimpang temulawak (RTL) dan tepung rimpang jahe merah (RJM) dengan level yang berbeda. Perlakuan pakan yang diberikan adalah T1= ransum basal tanpa penambahan aditif pakan (Kontrol); T2= ransum basal + 5 g/kg RTL + 7,5 g/kg RJM; T3= ransum basal + 10g/kg RTL + 7,5 g/kg RJM; T4= ransum basal + 5 g/kg RTL + 15 g/kg RJM; dan T5= ransum basal + 10 g/kg RTL + 15 g/kg RJM. Pakan dan air minum diberikan secara ad libitum. Variabel yang diamati dalam penelitian ini berupa: konsumsi protein, konsumsi energi, pertambahan bobot badan, rasio efisiensi protein, serta rasio efisiensi energi. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis variansi menggunakan Randomized Complete Block Desain pola searah. Data yang berbeda nyata antar perlakuan diuji lanjut menggunakan Duncan�s new Multiple Range Test. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa penambahan kombinasi fitobiotik antara RTL dan RJM dalam pakan dengan dosis 5 sampai 15 g/kg menaikkan (P<0,05) konsumsi protein dan energi ayam pedaging jantan yang dipelihara selama 35 hari. Namun demikian penambahan fitobiotik tersebut menurunkan (P<0,05) efisiensi penggunaan protein dan energi.
This study was aimed to determine the effects of dietary white turmeric and red ginger rhizome meal supplementation on protein and energy efficiency in broiler chickens. A total number of 180 male New Lohmann strain MB 202 broiler chickens were randomly alloted into five dietary treatments and maintained in the same room conditions for 35 days. Each treatment was replicated 6 times with six birds in each replicate pen. Diets that given were starter and growers diets that were supplemented with white turmeric (WTM) and red ginger rhizome (RGM) meal in different levels. The five treatment diets were: a basal diet without feed additive supplementtion (control; T1); basal diet + 5.0 g/kg WTM + 7.5 g/kg RGM (T2); basal diet + 10.0 g/kg WTM + 7.5 g/kg RGM (T3); basal diet + 5.0 g/kg WTM + 15.0 g/kg RGM (T4); and basal diet + 10.0 g/kg WTM + 15.0 g/kg RGM (T5). Feed and water were given for ad libitum consumption. Variables observed in this study were: protein consumption, energy consumption, body weight gain, protein efficiency ratio, and energy efficiency ratio. The collected data were statistically analyzed using Randomized Complete Block Design in oneway arrangement. All data with significant difference were then subsequently analyzed using Duncan's new Multiple Range Test. Results showed that dietary supplementations of combination WTM and RGM at the rate of 5 till 15 g/kg increased (P<0.05) protein and energy consumption of 35 days male broiler chickens. However, that dietary supplementations decreased (P<0.05) protein and energy utilization.
