Kehidupan mahasiswa dikampus tidak terlepas dari adanya aktivitas politik salah satunya melalui pemira. Penelitian ini membahas mengenai partisipasi serta perilaku politik mahasiswa khususnya FISIPOL UGM dalam pemira yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat partisipasi mahasiswa di pemira serta hal yang mempengaruhi partisipasi politik mahasiswa FISIPOL UGM. Metode penelitian yang dilakukan adalah dengan metode kuantitatif yang terdiri dari total 120 responden dari semua jurusan di FISIPOL UGM yang terentang dari angkatan 2008 sampai dengan 2013 Hasil penelitian yang didapatka bahwa adanya tren penurunan partisipasi politik mahasiswa FISIPOL UGM terhadap pemira serta menurunnya tingkat partisipasi mahasiswa pada gerakan mahasiswa. Para mahasiswa cenderung lebih memikirkan kepentingan � kepentingan pribadi melalui pertimbangan cost and benefits bagi dirinya sendiri yang membuat aktivitas politik tidak menjadi prioritas bagi para mahasiswa FISIPOL UGM.

Student life on campus can not be separated from the political activity, one of them is through Pemira. This study discusses the participation and political behavior of students, especially in FISIPOL UGM in Pemira which aims to determine the level of student participation in Pemira and things that affect the political participation of students of FISIPOL UGM. The research method is a quantitative method which consists of a total of 120 respondents from all departments at FISIPOL UGM extending from the class of 2008 to 2013 The results of research showed that the downward trend in student political participation in FISIPOL UGM against Pemira and declining levels of student participation in the student movement. The students tend to be more concerned with their personal interests through a consideration of costs and benefits for themselves that make political activity is not a priority for students of FISIPOL UGM.
