Pengaruh Induksi Streptozotocin Terhadap Kadar Hormon Estradiol Tikus (Rattus norvegicus) Galur Wistar

Hiperglikemia dapat menyebabkan gangguan metabolisme, salah satunya adalah hormon reproduksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh dari pemberian streptozotocin terhadap kadar hormon estradiol tikus. Penelitian ini menggunakan sepuluh tikus betina umur dua bulan yang diinduksi streptozotocin dosis 40 mg/kg berat badan secara intraperitoneal. Pada hari ke-0, ke-5 dan hari ke-12 dilakukan pengambilan darah untuk pemeriksaan glukosa dan estradiol. Kadar hormon estradiol dalam serum tikus diukur menggunakan DRG® Estradiol ELISA. Hasil dianalisis secara deskriptif dan kuantitatif menggunakan Ms. Excel 2013. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kadar glukosa darah pada hari ke-0, hari ke-5, dan hari ke-12 berturut-turut 78±19 mg/dL; 454±51,4 mg/dL; dan 312±36 mg/dL, dengan kadar estradiol berturut-turut 39,83±11,47 pg/ml; 33,68±6,35 pg/ml; 55,43±44,72 pg/ml. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah induksi streptozotocin berpengaruh terhadap kadar hormon estradiol dalam serum tikus Wistar.

Hyperglicemia can cause metabolic disorder, one of which is the reproductive hormone. This study is aimed to investigated the influence of streptozotocin induce towards the estradiol hormone levels of rat. This study used ten female rats aged two months, induced with 40mg/kg BB of streptozotocin intraperitoneally. Blood is withdrawed on day 0, day 5, and day 12 to test glucose and estradiol hormone levels. The estradiol hormone levels were measured by using the DRG Estradiol ELISA. The all data was analyzed use Ms. Excel 2013. The results showed that the average blood glucose levels on day 0, day 5 and day 12 were 78±19 mg/dL; 454±51,4 mg/dL; and 312±36 mg/dL, whereas the estradiol levels are 39,83±11,47 pg/ml; 33,68±6,35 pg/ml; 55,43±44,72 pg/ml respectially. The conclution of this study, there is an influence of streptozotocin towards estradiol hormone levels in Wistar rats.
