PENGARUH PENAMBAHAN PUPUK UREA DAN UMUR POTONG TERHADAP KANDUNGAN ASAM PRUSIK, PRODUKSI DAN KANDUNGAN NUTRIEN SORGUM BROWN MIDRIB

2017 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu PeternakanPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan pupuk urea dan umur potong terhadap produksi kandungan asam prusik, dan kandungan nutrien pada tanaman sorgum brown midrib. Penelitian ini menggunakan rancangan acak lengkap pola faktorial 3x3. Faktor perlakuan penambahan pupuk urea meliputi (P1) pupuk urea 0 kg/ha, (P2) pupuk urea 50 kg/ha, (P3) pupuk urea 100 kg/ha. Faktor umur potong meliputi umur potong 50 hari (U1), umur potong 80 hari (U2) dan umur potong 110 hari (U3) dengan pasangan perlakuan terdiri dari 3 replikasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pertumbuhan tanaman oleh penambahan pupuk urea tidak berbeda nyata. Kandungan asam prusik secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh penambahan pupuk urea (P<0,01) dan umur potong (P<0,05). Produksi bahan kering (BK) secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh penambahan pupuk urea (P<0,01) dan umur potong (P<0,05). Produksi bahan organik (BO) secara signifikan dipengaruhi oleh penambahan pupuk urea (P<0,01) dan umur potong (P<0,05). Kandungan BK tertinggi 0 kg/ha dan umur potong 110 hari (48,63%). Kandungan BO tertinggi pada penambahan pupuk urea 0, 50 dan 100 kg/ha dan umur potong 110 hari. Kandungan neutral detergent fiber (NDF) tertinggi pada perlakuan penambahan pupuk urea 0 dan 50 kg/ha dan umur potong 110 hari (72,87 dan 73,27%) dan kandungan NDF terendah pada perlakuan penambahan pupuk urea 50 dan 100 kg/ha dan umur potong 50 hari (62,05 dan 62,63%). Kandungan acid detergent fiber (ADF) tertinggi pada perlakuan penambahan pupuk urea 0 kg/ha dan umur potong 110 hari (36,80%) dan kandungan ADF terendah pada perlakuan penambahan pupuk urea 50 dan 100 kg/ha dan umur potong 50 hari (30,65 dan 31,04%). Kandungan lignin tertinggi pada perlakuan penambahan pupuk urea 0 kg/ha dan umur potong 110 hari (3,36%) dan kandungan lignin terendah pada perlakuan penambahan pupuk urea 100 kg/ha dan umur potong 50 hari (2,68%). Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah Penambahan pupuk urea sampai level 100 kg/ha dapat meningkatkan kandungan asam prusik akan tetapi pada level tersebut berdampak pada penurunan kandungan NDF, ADF dan lignin tanaman sorgum BMR. Umur potong yang semakin meningkat mampu menurunkan kandungan asam prusik akan tetapi terjadi peningkatan pada kandungan BK, BO, NDF, ADF dan lignin. Kandungan asam prusik dengan penambahan level pupuk urea sampai 100 kg/ha masih pada batas toleransi untuk diberikan pada ternak. Penambahan pupuk organik sebanyak 120 ton/ha sebagai pupuk dasar mampu meningkatkan produksi tanaman sorgum Brown Midrib.
This study aimed to determine the effect of urea fertilizer and harvesting time on content of prussic acid, production and nutrient content of sorghum brown midrib plants. This study design was completely randomized factorial 3x3. The addition of urea treatment includes (P1) urea 0 kg/ha, (P2) urea 50 kg/ha, (P3) urea 100 kg/ha. Harvesting time includes 50 day (U1), 80 days (U2) and 110 days (U3). The results showed that plant growth was not different by the addition of urea. Prussic acid content was significantly affected by urea (P<0.01) and harvestiong time (P<0.05). The dry matter (DM) production was significantly affected by the addition of urea (P<0.01) and harvestiong time (P<0.05). The organic material (OM) production was significantly affected by the addition of urea (P<0.01) and harvestiong time (P<0.05). The highest content of DM was on the addition of urea at 0 kg/ha and harvesting time 110 day (48.63%). The highest content of OM was on the addition of urea 0 and 50 and 100 kg/ha and harvesting time at 110 day. The highest content of neutral detergent fiber (NDF) was on the addition of urea 0 and 50 kg/ha and harvesting time at 110 day (72.87 and 73.27%) and the lowest of NDF content was on the addition of urea 50 and 100 kg/ha and harvesting time at 50 day (62.05 and 62.63%). The highest content of acid detergent fiber (ADF) was on the addition of urea 0 kg/ha and harvesting time at 110 day (36.80%) and the lowest of ADF content was on the addition of urea 50 and 100 kg/ha and harvesting time at 50 day (30.65 and 31.04%). The highest lignin content was on the addition of urea 0 kg/ha and harvesting time at 110 day (3.36 %) and the lowest of lignin content was on the addition of urea 100 kg/ha and harvesting time at 50 day (2.68%). The conclusion of the study was the addition of urea up to 100 kg/ha can increase the content of prussic acid but at that level have of impact on the content of NDF, ADF and lignin sorghum BMR. Increasing of harvesting time able to decrease the prussic acid content but can increase in the content of dry matter, organic matter, NDF, ADF and lignin. Prussic acid content with the addition of urea to 100 kg/ha is still within the tolerance limits to be given to cattle. The addition organic fertilizer as basal fertilizer about 120 ton/ha can increase the production of sorghum Brown Midrib.
