PENGUJIAN EFIKASI SUPLEMENTASI KOMBINASI VITAMIN D3, ZINC, DAN VIRGIN COCONUT OIL ORAL PADA PENDERITA VITILIGO YANG MENDAPAT TERAPI NARROW BAND ULTRAVIOLET B

Latar belakang: Berbagai macam pengobatan vitiligo bersifat non spesifik dan masih belum memberikan kepuasan terapi. Beberapa studi mengatakan bahwa peran mikronutrien dan antioksidan berperan penting pada patogenesis vitiligo. Vitamin D3, zinc, dan VCO merupakan mikronutrien dan antioksidan yang diharapkan dapat digunakan sebagai suplementasi pengobatan vitiligo. Tujuan: Mengetahui efikasi suplementasi kombinasi vitamin D3, zinc, dan VCO oral pada penderita vitiligo yang mendapat terapi NB-UVB. Metode: Desain penelitian ini adalah quasi experimental, pre-post comparison study melibatkan 24 penderita vitiligo yang mendapat terapi NB-UVB di RSUP. Dr. Sardjito, Yogyakarta. Hasil: Berdasarkan ImageJ terdapat perbedaan bermakna luas lesi depigmentasi antara sebelum dan setelah mendapat suplementasi oral kombinasi vitamin D3 dan VCO (dari 2,32+-2,44 menjadi 1,71+-1,84; P=0,006); zinc dan VCO (dari 3,45+-8,08 menjadi 2,80+-7,33; P=0,002); maupun vitamin D3, zinc, dan VCO (dari 6,63+-7,41 menjadi 5,16+-6,54; P=0,001). Berdasarkan VASI terdapat perbedaan bermakna luas lesi depigmentasi antara sebelum dan setelah mendapat suplementasi oral kombinasi vitamin D3 dan VCO (dari 5,65+-9,69 menjadi 5,26+-8,99; P=0,028); zinc dan VCO (dari 8,26+_8,97 menjadi 6,89+-7,34; P=0,028); maupun vitamin D3, zinc, dan VCO (dari 11,24+-7,14 menjadi 10,20+-6,89; P=0,018). Perbandingan selisih luas lesi depigmentasi yang diukur dengan ImageJ dan VASI antara 3 kelompok sulpementasi kombinasi tersebut tidak berbeda bermakna (P=0,086 dan P=0,502). Kesimpulan: Suplementasi oral kombinasi vitamin D3 dan VCO; zinc dan VCO; serta vitamin D3, zinc, dan VCO mengurangi luas depigmentasi yang diukur dengan Image dan VASI pada penderita vitiligo yang mendapat terapi NB-UVB.

Introduction: Several treatment of vitiligo was conducted with no unsatisfactory. Studies showed that micronutrien and antioxidant plays an important role in the pathogenesis of vitiligo. Vitamin D3, zinc, and VCO are micronutriens and antioxidants that can be expected to treat vitiligo. Objectives: To evaluate the eficacy of combination of oral vitamin D3, zinc, and VCO as a supplementation for vitiligo patients whom had NB-UVB therapy. Methods: The study design was quasi eksperimental, pre-post comparison study, involving 24 vitiligo patients whom had NB-UVB therapy in Sardjito General Hospital, Yogyakarta. Results: Based on ImageJ , there were significantly differences of depigmented area between pre- and post- oral combination suplemented of vitamin D3 and VCO(from 2,32+-2,44 to 1,71+-1,84; P=0,006); zinc and VCO (from 3,45+-8,08 to 2,80+-7,33; P=0,002); as well as vitamin D3, zinc, and VCO (from 6,63+-7,41 to 5,16+-6,54; P=0,001). Based on VASI, there were significantly differences of depigmented area between pre- and post- oral combination suplemented of vitamin D3 and VCO(from 5,65+-9,69 to 5,26+-8,99; P=0,028); zinc and VCO (from 8,26+-8,97 to 6,89+-7,34; P=0,028); as well as vitamin D3, zinc, and VCO (from 11,24+-7,14 to 10,20+-6,89; P=0,018). Based on ImageJ and VASI, there was no significant differences in comparison of depigmentation area range between all three groups (P=0,086 and P=0,502). Conclusion: Oral combination supplementation of vitamin D3 and VCO; zinc and VCO; and vitamin D3, zinc, and VCO can reduced depigmented area of vitiligo patients whom had NB-UVB therapy which measured by ImageJ and VASI.
