Tesis ini berjudul "Konflik Antar Umat Beragama dalam Perspektif Teori Pengakuan Axel Honneth (Studi Kasus atas Konflik Maluku)". Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk melacak akar permasalahan konflik antar umat beragama yang berujung pada kekerasan di Maluku dan menemukan prinsip dasar kehidupan sosial dalam mayarakat majemuk berdasarkan teori pengakuan Axel Honneth. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian filosofis kualitatif mengenai permasalahan aktual melalui kajian kepustakaan dengan mengunakan pendekatan teori pengakuan Axel Honneth. Cara penelitian karya ilmiah ini dilakukan dengan inventarisasi data kepustakaan, klarifikasi, identifikasi dan sitematisasi berbagai sumber pustaka yang didapat terkait tujuan penelitian. Data yang telah diperoleh dianisisi dengan menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutik dengan unsur metodis yang meliputi deskripsi, interpretasi, refleksi kritis. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat menawarkan solusi atas konflik sosial terkhusus konflik yang bernuansakan keagamaan serta memberikan prinsip paling mendasar dalam situasi kehidupan masyarakat yang majemuk. Cara kerja teori pengakuan dalam lingkup filsafat sosial, diawali dengan identifikasi segala bentuk disrespect selanjutnya mengatasinya melalui medium bentuk-bentuk pengakuan yaitu cinta, hak dan solidaritas. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa, menurut pandangan teori pengakuan, akar permasalahan dalam fenomena konflik adalah peristiwa-peristiwa negatif dalam berbagai bentuk penyangkalan yang mengerucut pada raibnya pengakuan antaranggota masyarakat. Pengakuan yang raib tersebut dapat dimunculkan kembali melalui bentuk-bentuk pengakuan, diantaranya melalui cinta untuk mendapatkan kembali kepercayaan diri, hak untuk merengkuh kehormatan diri dan solidaritas untuk menjaga harga diri, sehingga kehidupan masyarakat yang idel pun dapat terealisasi.

The title of this thesis is "The Conflict of religion in Indonesia on The Perspective of Axel Honnet's Theory of Recognition (Case studies about conflict in Moluccas)". This study is aimed to identify the root of problem from the conflict between religions in Moluccas and to find the principle of social live in the plurality according to Axel Honneth's theory of recognition. This research is a qualitative philosophy research about actual phenomenon by library research from Axel Honneth's theory of recognition point of view. This study starts from selecting material, clarification, identification and systematization depends on the purpose of this research. Hermeneutic is the method to approach the acquired material by description, interpretation and reflection. This study is aimed to offer the solution for the social conflict especially conflict of religion diversity and try to give the principle of the live in the pluralistic society. The method to approach the problem in this study is the theory of recognition, that begins with the identification of all the modes of disrespect in the society, and decides the solution by the mediation of the modes of recognition, they are love, right and solidarity. The result of this study is designate, according to the theory of recognition, the roots of problem in every conflict is negative phenomenon that aimed at the losing of recognition between the member of society. The losing of recognition can be solved by the modes of recognition; love can emerge the self-confident, right can gives the self-respect and solidarity can protect self-esteem, so that the idealistic of the live of society can be achieved.
