Pengaruh Musik Ballad Korea terhadap Emosi Musikal

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh musik ballad Korea terhadap emosi musikal seseorang, baik yang menyukai musik Korea maupun yang tidak menyukai musik Korea. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini adalah terdapat perbedaan emosi antara kelompok suka, kelompok tidak suka, dan kelompok kontrol. Rancangan dalam penelitian menggunakan posttest-only design with nonequivalent groups. Partisipan terdiri dari 70 mahasiswa S1 UGM yang ditempatkan pada salah satu dari tiga kelompok. Emosi diukur menggunakan skala GEMS (Geneva Emotional Music Scale). Data dianalis menggunakan one-way ANOVA. Hasil analisis data didapatkan nilai F=5,92 (p<0,05). Berdasarkan hasil ini, maka hipotesis diterima. Hasil uji Pos Hoc menunjukkan adanya perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok suka dengan kelompok tidak suka (p p<0,05) dan kelompok tidak suka dengan kelompok kontrol (p<0,05). Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok suka (p>0,05). Emosi pada kelompok suka lebih tinggi daripada kelompok kontrol, emosi pada kelompok kontrol lebih tinggi daripada kelompok tidak suka.

This research has purpose to understand the impact of Korean ballad music towards someones musical emotion, both for those who like Korean music and dislike Korean music. The proposed hypothesis in this research was that there were emotion differences among liking group, disliking group, and control group. The design in the research is using posttest-only design with nonequivalent groups. Participants consisted of 70 bachelors degree UGM students who are placed in one of three groups. Emotion is measured using GEMS (Geneva Emotional Music Scale). Analytical data is using one-way ANOVA. Based on analytical data, the result shows F=5,92 (p<0,05). Therefore, using this basis, the hypothesis was accepted. The result of Post Hoc test shows there is significant difference among liking group and disliking group (p<0,05) and among disliking group and control group (p<0,05). There is no significant difference amog liking group with control group(p>0,05). Emotion in liking group is higher than in control group, emotion in control group is higher than in disliking group.
