KOMPETENSI LITERASI MEDIA BARU DI KALANGAN REMAJA PEDESAAN: Studi Tentang Kompetensi Literasi Media Baru pada siswa SMA Negeri 1 Patuk- Gunungkidul

SMAN 1 Patuk adalah SMA yang berada di pedesaan di Daerah Istimewa Yogyakarta yang mendukung kemajuan dalam teknologi informasi dan komunikasi, dengan menyediakan wifi di sekolah dan fasilitas komputer untuk siswanya pihak sekolah mengharapkan agar siswa lebih dekat dengan kemajuan teknologi informasi dan komunikasi sesuai dengan visinya untuk Menghasilkan lulusan berkualitas dalam IMTEK. Namun banyak informasi yang disediakan di internet tidak bertanggung jawab dan tidak memiliki kredibilitas, serta Sulitnya pengawasan terhadap konten yang tersebar dalam internet mengharuskan pengguna internet untuk memiliki kemampuan literasi. Maka Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana ����¯�¿�½������¢������¯������¿������½������¯������¿������½Kompetensi Literasi Media Baru Siswa SMAN 1 Patuk����¯�¿�½������¢������¯������¿������½������¯������¿������½ dengan metode Desktiptif kualitatif. Konsep kompetesi literasi pada penelitian ini tidak hanya pada sikap siswa terhadap pesan atau informasi yang mereka akses namun juga berkaitan dengan kemampuan siswa dalam teknikal (penggunaan komputer dan internet), serta kemampuan dalam komunikasi dan partisipasi secara online. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi atau pengamatan lapangan, FGD, dan studi pustaka. Teknik analisis data adalah dilakukan melalui reduksi data/data reduction, penyajian data/Data Display dan penarikan kesimpulan/Conclusion. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kompetensi literasi media baru siswa level Medium, selain itu hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pertama kemampuan teknikal dapat disebabkan oleh faktor: 1) latarbelakang dari orangtua, 2) faktor ekonomi, 3) motivasi, 4) infrastruktur. Kedua, Pada tahap pemahaman kritikal siswa menunjukan, bahwa mayoritas dari informan memiliki sikap kritis pada permukaannya saja, hal ini dikarnakan sikap malas, tidak peduli, dan ketertarikan untuk mengulik lebih dalam mengenai media, konten, dan regulasi.sikap kritis siswa karena faktor 1) kecemasan, 2) intelektual. Ketiga, kemampuan berkomunikasi dan berpartisipasi secara online sudah cukup baik namun memang dari siswa cenderung belum sepenuhnya aktif dalam berpartisipasi dalam kelompok online dan dalam ada beberapa siswa memiliki kreasi konten yang lebih kreatif disbanding siswa lainnya yang cenderung masih sebatas foto saja, hal ini karena faktor 1) motivasi instrinsik, 2) faktor lingkungan

Senior High School of first Patuk is located in the countryside high school in Yogyakarta that support advances in information and communication technology, by providing wifi in schools and computer facilities for students. The facility, the school expects the students closer to the advancement of information and communication technologies in accordance with the vision to Produce quality graduates in science and technology. But much of the information provided on the internet is not responsible and does not have the credibility, as well as the difficulty of monitoring the spread in the internet content require internet users to have the literacy skills. So this study aims to determine how the ����¯�¿�½������¢������¯������¿������½������¯������¿������½Study On New Media Literacy Competence in Senior High School of first Patuk����¯�¿�½������¢������¯������¿������½������¯������¿������½ with qualitative descriptive method. The concept of literacy competencies in this study not only the students' attitudes towards the message or information they access, but also related to the ability of students in technical (use of computers and the Internet), as well as skills in communication and participation online. Data collected through observation or field observation, focus group discussions, and literature. Data analysis technique is done through data reduction / data reduction, data presentation / Data Display and conclusion / Conclusion. The results showed that the general competence of media literacy of new students at the level of medium, besides the results of this study show that, first technical skills can be caused by factors: 1) the background of parents, 2) economic factors, 3) motivation, 4) infrastructure. Second, On the critical understanding of the students showed that the majority of the informants have a critical attitude on the surface, it is because a lazy attitude, do not care, and interest to investigate more about the media, content, and regulation. critical attitude of students as a factor of 1) anxiety, 2) intellectual. Third, the ability to communicate and participate online is good enough, but indeed of students tend not fully active in participating in online groups, and within a few students have the creation of content that is more creative than the other students who are likely still limited pictures only, this is due to factors 1) intrinsic motivation, 2) environmental factors
