PERSEBARAN ALAMI KEPUNDUNG (Baccaurea racemosa (Reinw. ex Blume) Mull. Arg.) DI DESA KEPURUN, KECAMATAN MANISRENGGO, KABUPATEN KLATEN

Informasi tentang Baccaurea racemosa atau kepundung (Famili Euphorbiaceae) yang dapat diakses oleh masyarakat umum hanya sedikit. Kepundung merupakan spesies indigenous yang berada di lereng Gunung Merapi sisi Timur, tepatnya di Kecamatan Kemalang dan Kecamatan Manisrenggo, Kabupaten Klaten. Jumlah individu kepundung diduga semakin berkurang karena masyarakat Desa Kepurun beralih dari tanaman kepundung ke tanaman durian yang memiliki nilai ekonomi lebih tinggi sehingga menyebabkan tanaman kepundung mengalami penurunan jumlah individu. Untuk itu diperlukan penelitian guna mengetahui jumlah pohon kepundung, tingkat hidup kepundung, dan nilai Indeks Dispersi (ID) persebaran kepundung di Desa Kepurun, Kecamatan Manisrenggo, Kabupaten Klaten. Penelitian dilakukan dengan membuat 87 Petak Ukur (PU) nested sampling ukuran 20x20 meter secara purposive sampling pada dusun-dusun yang diamati dengan jarak antar tiap PU adalah 100 hingga 200 meter dengan mempertimbangkan luasan dusun yang diamati. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mencatat koordinat, mengukur diameter, tinggi, jenis kepundung, menyeleksi bunga/buah, dan menghitung Indeks Dispersi persebaran kepundung di Desa Kepurun, Kecamatan Manisrenggo, Kabupaten Klaten. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa diperoleh 21 pohon kepundung di Desa Kepurun. Pohon-pohon tersebut mayoritas tersebar di Desa Kepurun Zona Utara, yaitu Dusun Kepitu dan Kepurun Wetan. Dua dusun tersebut merupakan dusun yang berbatasan langsung dengan Desa Bawukan, Kecamatan Kemalang yang juga merupakan daerah asli spesies kepundung. Adapun tingkat hidup kepundung yang ditemukan di Desa Kepurun masih lengkap, mulai dari tingkat hidup semai, sapihan, tiang, dan pohon. Penelitian menemukan adanya 2 jenis kepundung, yaitu kepundung merah dan kepundung putih di Desa Kepurun. Nilai Indeks Dispersi (ID) kepundung di Desa Kepurun adalah 2,53. Hal ini berarti bahwa kepundung di Desa Kepurun tersebar secara mengelompok.

Information about Baccaurea racemosa or kepundung (Family Euphorbiaceae) only a few that can be accessed by the public. Kepundung is an indigenous species located on the slopes of the Eastern side of Mount Merapi, precisely in Kemalang District and Manisrenggo District, Klaten Regency. Number of individuals kepundung suspected diminishing because the transition of people in Kepurun Village from kepundung to durian which has a higher economic value. It leads the decreasing in the number of individuals. Therefore this research aims to determine the number of kepundung trees, the life level of kepundung, and the dispersion index of kepundung in Kepurun Village, Manisrenggo District, Klaten Regency. This research was held by making 87 nested sampling plots using size 20x20 meter with purposive sampling method and located in a predetermain group of sub village in Kepurun Village with the distance between each plot was 100 to 200 meters by considering the extent of the observed sub village. The study was conducted by recording the coordinates, measuring the diameter, height, type of kepundung, selecting flower/fruit, and calculating the dispersion indexs distribution of kepundung in Kepurun Village, Manisrenggo District, Klaten Regency. This research showed that it was found 21 kepundung trees in Kepurun Village. The trees majorly spread in Northern Zone of Kepurun Village, namely Kepitu Sub Village and East Kepurun Sub Village. Those sub village were directly adjacent to Bawukan Village, Kemalang Regency which was also a native area of kepundung. The life level of kepundung that was found in Kepurun Village was still complete, ranging from seedling, sapling, pole, and tree. This research also was found 2 types of kepundung, namely red kepundung and white kepundung in Kepurun Village. Dispersion indexs value of kepundung in Kepurun Village was 2.53.
