ABSTRAK Latar Belakang : Menurut WHO, depresi menjadi penyakit dengan beban global terbesar kedua di dunia setelah penyakit cardiovaskular tahun 2020 dan menjadi urutan ke 4 sebagai penyebab utama disabilitas di dunia. Prevalensi gangguan mental emosional di Indonesia seperti ansietas dan depresi sebesar 6% dari populasi umum. Depresi memiliki asosiasi dengan kejadian bunuh diri Tujuan : Penilitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui prevalensi pasien depresi di RSUP dr. Sardjito tahun 2012-2014. Metode: Retrospektif-deskriptif menggunakan metode cross sectional dengan menggunakan data sekunder yaitu rekam medis di departemen jiwa RSUP dr. Sardjito Hasil : Prevalensi depresi di departemen jiwa RSUP dr. Sardjito sebesar 4,5% pada tahun 2012-2014 dengan distribusi pasien tinggi pada wanita (60,3%), pada rentang usia 21-30 tahun (27,7%), menikah (94,2%), status tingkat pendidikan sekolah menengah atas (6,2%), pelajar (22,7%), dan tipe depresi berat dengan gejala psikotik (56,4%). Kesimpulan :Prevalensi depresi di departemen jiwa RSUP dr. Sardjito adalah 4,5%.

ABSTRACT Background : According to WHO, depression is becoming a disease with high global burden after cardiovascular disease in year 2020 and also becoming the fourth highest disease causing disablity in world. The prevalence of emotional disease in Indonesia, such as anxiety dan depression amounts 6% of general population. Depression associates with suicidal attempt. Aim : This research aims to know the prevalence of depression in RSUP. dr. Sardjito year 2012-2014. Methode : Retrospective-descriptive using cross sectional. The data of this research is based on medical record in psychiatric departement in RSUP. dr. Sardjito year 2012-2014. Result : prevalence of depression in psychiatric departement in RSUP. dr. Sardjito year 2012-2014 is 4,5%. Woman accounts the highest among man (60,3%), range of age is 21-30 years old (27,7%), married (94,2%), status of education is high school (6,2%), occupational status is student (22,7%), and major depression with psychotic features (56,4%). Conclusion : prevalence of depression in psychiatric departement in RSUP. dr. Sardjito year 2012-2014 is 4,5%
