Sebuah sistem peringatan dini bencana banjir menggunakan aplikasi twitter telah dibuat untuk mempermudah persebaran informasi penting yaitu status bencana banjir. Sistem peringatan dini bencana banjir sangat diperlukan bagi penduduk yang menempati lingkungan tertentu untuk mengamati apakah kondisi lingkungan tersebut aman atau tidak dari bencana banjir. Media sosial twitter digunakan untuk menyebarluaskan informasi bencana hingga sampai pada masyarakat. Sistem peringatan dini banjir ini menggunakan arduino uno r3 yang berbasis pada mikrokontroler ATMega328. Sistem dilengkapi dengan sensor SRF04 untuk mendeteksi ketinggian permukaan air, modul ethernet yang berfungsi untuk mengirimkan informasi dan kartu memori SD card untuk menyimpan data. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah sebuah sistem yang dapat berfungsi untuk mendeteksi ketinggian permukaan air dan memproses status bencana banjir serta menyebarkan informasi ke masyarakat melalui aplikasi twitter, selain itu data disimpan ke dalam media penyimpanan. Penelitian ini juga menganalisis kemampuan dan kesulitan sistem dalam mendeteksi status bencana banjir.

An early warning system for flood disaster using twitter application has been made swith the capability to spread the information of a flood disaster. An early warning system for flood disaster is needed for people who live in particular area to keep in check if the environmental conditions are safe or not from a flood. Twitter as social media is used to propagate the disaster information up to the community. The early warning system uses arduino uno r3 based on ATmega328 microcontroller. The system is equipped with SRF04 sensor to detect the water level, ethernet module that serves to transmit information and the SD memory card to store data. Results from this study is a system that can be used to detect the water level and process status of the floods as well as disseminate information to the public via twitter application and the data is also stored into the storage medium. This study also analyzed the system�s capability and the difficulty in detecting the status of the flood disaster.
