FABRIKASI DAN KARAKTERISASI NANOFIBER PAN/TiO2 DENGAN METODE ELEKTROSPINNING UNTUK APLIKASI FOTOKATALIS

2016 | Skripsi | S1 FISIKAProduksi membran fotokatalis nanofiber polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/Titanium dioksida (TiO2) dengan metode elektrospinning dengan konsentrasi PAN 10 wt(berat)% telah berhasil dilakukan. Fabrikasi nanofiber PAN/TiO2 dilakukan dengan variasi larutan dengan konsentrasi perbandingan [PAN : TiO2 = 1, 2 dan 4] pencampuran TiO2 dengan cara coating. Nanofiber dikarakterisasi menggunakan scanning electron microscope (SEM) untuk melihat morfologi nanofiber dan fourier transform infrared (FTIR) untuk mengetahui gugus fungsi nanofiber. Degradasi zat warna methylene blue 10 ppm dilakukan dibawah lampu UV 40 watt dengan panjang gelombang serapan maksimum lampu UV sebesar 368 nm. Proses fotokatalis dilakukan selama 30, 60, 90, 120 dan 150 menit. Setelah dilakukan penyinaran, nilai serapan dari methylene blue dianalisa. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa aktifitas fotokatalis meningkat seiring bertambahnya konsentrasi TiO2 dan waktu fotokatalis.
Production of membrane photocatalyst nanofiber polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/Titanium dioxide (TiO2) using electrospinning method with a concentration of PAN 10 wt(weight)% has been successfully conducted. Fabrication of nanofiber PAN/TiO2 is conducted with solution variation using concentration ratio [PAN: TiO2 = 1, 2 and 4] TiO2 was mixed by using coating way. Nanofiber were characterized by using scanning electron microscope (SEM) to determine the nanofiber morphology and by using Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) to determine the functional groups of nanofiber. Degradation of 10 ppm methylene blue dye was conducted under a UV lamp of 40 watts with a wavelength of maximum absorption of 368 nm UV lamp. Photocatalytic process was carried out for 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 minutes. After irradiation, the absorbance of methylene blue at 0, 30, 60, 90, 120 and 150 minutes were analyzed. The test results showed that the photocatalytic activity increases with the increasing of TiO2 concentration increases and photocatalysts time.
