Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gejala berahi dan tingkah laku berahi, profil hormon estrogen dan progesteron domba betina ekor tipis yang di sinkronisasi menggunakan Controlled Internal Drugs Release (CIDR) dan mendapat perlakuan kecambah kacang hijau segar (Phaseolus aureus). Materi penelitian ini terdiri dari 8 domba ekor tipis berumur 1,5 â�� 2 tahun dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok masing-masing 4 ekor. Kelompok I (K0) dan kelompok II (K1) secara berturut turut mempunyai bobot badan rata-rata 22,72�±1,09 kg dan 24,42�±2,28 kg. Kemudian kedua kelompok disinkronisasi dengan menggunakan CIDR selama 13 hari secara intravaginal, selain itu kelompok I (K0) tidak diberi kecambah kacang hijau segar dan kelompok II (K1) diberi kecambah kacang hijau segar sebanyak 250 gram/ekor/hari. Sampel darah diambil 6 kali pada 1 hari sebelum pemasangan CIDR, hari ke 13 setelah pelepasan CIDR, 2 hari setelah perkawinan, pada hari ke 16, dan hari ke 22, 34 dan 36 setelah masa berahi sebanyak 3 ml/ekor melalui vena jugularis. Sampel darah kemudian di sentrifus selama 10 menit dengan kecepatan 3000 rpm untuk mendapatkan serum darah yang akan di analisis hormon estrogen dan progesteron menggunakan metode Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa semua ternak menunjukan berahi 100% setelah pelepasan CIDR. Sedangkan awal dan akhir berahi kedua perlakuan menunjukkan hasil yang berbeda 33,50�±1,73 (K0) dan 29,00�±3,16 (K1) jam; 58�±1,15 (K0) dan 60�±1,41 (K1) jam. Profil hormon progesteron dan estrogen menunjukkan angka sebesar 5,63�±4,05 (K0); 4,75�±3,12 ng/mL (K1) dan 57,47�±6,45 (K0); 36,16�±4,66 pg/mL (K1). Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa sinkronisasi menggunakan CIDR menunjukkan respon berahi sebesar 100%. Awal dan akhir berahi menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (P<0,05). Profil hormon progesteron kedua kelompok hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tidak berbeda nyata sedangkan hormon estrogen menunjukkan berbeda nyata (P<0,05). Memperhatikan rerata kadar hormon baik perlakuan kelompok K0 maupun K1 setelah ternak domba dikawinkan, hormon progesteron cenderung meningkat, sedangkan hormon estrogen cenderung menurun. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa respon berahi dan lama berahi terbaik pada K1.

This study aim to determine the symptoms oestrus and oestrus behaviour, estrogen and progesterone profile thin tail sheep were in sync using Controlled Internal Drug Release (CIDR) of ewes were treated mung bean sprouts (Phaseolus aureus). The material of this study consisted of 8 thin tail sheep aged 1.5 to 2 years were divided into 2 groups of each of the 4 tails. Group I (K0) and group II (K1) having an average body weight of 22.72 �± 1.09 kg and 24.42 �± 2.28 kg. Then both groups are synchronized by using CIDR for 13 days in intravaginal, group I (K0) not given mung bean sprouts and group II (K1) were given the mung bean sprouts 250 grams/tails/day. Blood is drawn 6 times before oestrus period, the beginning of estrus, days after oestrous 3m/tails. Then blood samples in a centrifuge for 10 minutes at a speed of 3000 rpm to obtain blood serum to be analyzed hormones estrogen and progesterone using Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA). The results showed a 100% oestrus after CIDR release. Beginning and end of the second oestrus showed different results 33.50 �± 1.73 and 29.00 �± 3.16 hours; 58 �± 1.15 and 60 �± 1.41 hours. Profile of progesterone and estrogen showed a figure of 5.63 �± 4.05; 4.75 �± 3.12 ng/mL and 57.47 �± 6.45; 36.16 �± 4.66 pg/mL. It was concluded that the synchronization of oestrus using CIDR showed a response of 100%. Beginning and end of estrus showed a significant difference (P <0.05). Profile of progesterone of both groups showed no significant difference while estrogen showed significantly different (P<0.05). The averages of hormone levels of both treatment (groups K0 and K1) after the sheep mated, the hormone progesterone was likely to increase, whereas the hormone estrogen tended to decrease.
