Background: It is known that inflammation affects the progression of malignancy. Neutrophils as one of the inflammatory cells may play a role in determining the prognosis in malignancy. Further evaluation is required to determine the association of neutrophil count with clinical stage in nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Purpose: To determine the association of neutrophil count with clinical staging in nasopharyngeal carcinoma at RSUP Dr. Sardjito Methods: The study design was cross-sectional. Sample of this research were taken from medical records of patients which been diagnosed with nasopharyngeal carcinoma and have the data results of laboratory tests. Clinical staging of nasopharyngeal carcinoma were classified into early-stage and advanced stage and neutrophil count were classified into low neutrophil count and high neutrophil count. Statistical analysis to prove the hypothesis were using Fisher's exact test. Result: Study sample were 138 nasopharyngeal carcinoma patients. There was no statistically significant association of neutrofil count with clinical staging in nasopharyngeal carcinoma at RSUP Dr. Sardjito, with p=0,638. Conclusion: There was no association of neutrophil count with clinical staging in nasopharyngeal carcinoma at RSUP Dr. Sardjito
