Rakyat Colombia yang berusia di bawah usia 65 tidak mengenal hidup damai di negaranya sendiri. Konflik bersenjata internal telah berkecamuk hampir terus-menerus di negara Amerika Selatan sejak tahun 1948. Dengan pembicaraan yang sedang berlangsung antara pemerintah dan lebih besar dari dua kelompok pemberontak sayap kiri negara, Angkatan Bersenjata Revolusioner Kolombia (FARC), Kolombia dapat segera menemukan apa yang damai seperti . Tapi mereka mungkin merasa hanya sedikit lebih damai atau aman dari apa yang datang sebelumnya. Namun hingga tahun 2012 hingga 2016, proses negosiasi yang panjang dan rumit akhirnya bertemu dan akhir. But they may find it only a bit more peaceful or secure than what came before. However through 2012 until 2016, the long and complicated negotiations process finally meet and end. In 2016, the Colombian government and FARC finalized their peace accord in the hope for a better Colombia.
