IDENTIFIKASI DAN UJI KEPEKAAN ISOLAT KLINIK Candida spp. MENGGUNAKAN KIT UJI BIOKIMIAWI INTEGRAL SYSTEM YEASTS PLUS (ISYP)

Latar Belakang: Kandidiasis yang disebabkan oleh Candida spp. merupakan salah satu penyebab terbesar infeksi nosokomial yang mencapai sepuluh persen bagi pasien yang sedang dirawat di unit perawatan intensif. Kandidiasis memerlukan terapi antifungal yang cukup spesifik karena ditemukan resistensi beberapa Candida spp. terhadap beberapa antifungal sehingga diperlukan suatu metode identifikasi dan uji kepekaan antifungal yang praktis, efektif, dan efisien agar pengobatan dapat lebih efektif. Tujuan Penelitian: Untuk melihat kemampuan identifikasi dan uji kepekaan antifungal menggunakan kit uji biokimiawi Integral System Yeasts Plus. Metode Penelitian: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif laboratoris dengan rancangan deskriptif. Hasil penelitian akan dianalisis secara deskriptif. Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil data untuk identifikasi dan uji kepekaan menggunakan kit uji biokimiawi Integral System Yeasts Plus. Hasil Penelitian: Kit Integral System Yeasts Plus dapat mengidentifikasi dua puluh satu dari dua puluh delapan isolat (75%) dan menguji pola kepekaan Candida spp. terhadap sepuluh antifungal dengan hasil suseptibilitas yang bervariasi. Kesimpulan : Integral System Yeasts Plus merupakan kit yang cukup baik dalam mengidentifikasi dan menguji kepekaan antifungal namun perlu perbaikan dalam referensi hasil asimilasi gula.

Background: Candidiasis is a form of nosocomial infection that commonly occur in intensive care setting. Candidiasis needs specific antifungal therapy because there are some resistance pattern of antifungal from some species. Therefore, there is a need to find the best device to identify and find susceptibility pattern in order to improve therapy outcome. Objectives: This research aimed to see the performance of Integral System Yeasts Plus on identification and susceptibility test. Methods: This is a descriptive research with laboratory descriptive method. The results will be descriptively analyzed. The research using data from Integral System Yeasts Plus results. Results: This kit can identificate twenty one of twenty eight isolates (75%) and well perform the susceptibility test of ten antifungals with variative susceptibility results. Conclusion:Integral System Yeasts Plus is a good kit for identification and susceptibility test but still needs some revision especially on its sugar assimilation results references.
