EFEKTIVITAS BERBAGAI MEDIUM TERHADAP PRODUKSI BIOMASSA DAN LIPID KONSORSIUM MIKROALGA GLAGAH DALAM OPEN POND

Mikroalga mampu menghasilkan biomassa dan lipid sebagai sumber biodiesel yang merupakan sumber energi terbaharukan, tidak beracun, biodegradable, dan CO2 netral. Upaya dalam meningkatkan biomassa dan kandungan lipid mikroalga skala massal, dilakukan kultivasi konsorsium mikroalga Glagah. Kultivasi dilakukan secara open pond selama tujuh hari dengan menggunakan Bold (petik) s Basal Medium (BBM), Farmpion, dan Thoriq Eko Arif Medium (TEAM). Pertumbuhan mikroalga diukur dengan menghitung densitas sel menggunakan metode spektrofotometri. Berat kering dihitung dari biomassa kering. Kandungan lipid diuji dengan menggunakan metode Bligh and Dryer. Kandungan karbon diuji dengan menggunakan metode gravimetri. Densitas sel tertinggi pada Thoriq Eko Arif Medium sebesar 4,30 x 109 sel/L, diikuti oleh Farmpion 4,20 x 109 sel/L, dan Bold (petik) s Basal Medium 4,04 x 109 sel/L. Biomassa konsorsium mikroalga Glagah tertinggi pada Bold (petik) s Basal Medium, diikuti oleh Thoriq Eko Arif Medium, dan Farmpion masing-masing sebesar 0,677 x 103 mg/L, 0,65 x 103 mg/L, dan 0,38 x 103 mg/L. Lipid konsorsium mikroalga Glagah tertinggi pada Bold (petik) s Basal Medium, diikuti oleh Farmpion dan Thoriq Eko Arif Medium sebesar 53%, 36%, dan 27% per berat kering.

Microalgae can produce biomass and lipid as a source of biodiesel as which are renewable energy sources, non-toxic, biodegradable, and CO2 neutral. In order to increas the biomass and lipid content microalgae in mass scale, cultivation of microalgae consortium of Glagah was carried out. Cultivation was done in open pond for seven days using Bold's Basal Medium (BBM), Farmpion, and Thoriq Eko Arif Medium (TEAM). Microalgae growth was measured by counting cell density using spectrophotometric method. The dry weight was calculated from dry biomass. Lipid content was measured by using the method of Bligh and Dryer. Carbon content was measured by using gravimetric methods. The highest cell density was at Eko Arif Thoriq Medium of 4.30 x 109 cells/L, followed by Farmpion was 4.20 x 109 cells/L, and Bold's Basal Medium was 4.04 x 109 cells/L. Biomass of microalgae consortium of Glagah was the highest on the Bold's Basal Medium, followed by Thoriq Eko Arif Medium, and Farmpion respectively was 0.677 x 103 mg/L, 0.65 x 103 mg/L, and 0.38 x 103 mg/L, respectively lipid of microalgae consortium of Glagah was the highest on the Bold's Basal Medium, followed by Farmpion and Thoriq Eko Arif Medium was 53%, 36%, and 27% per dry weight.
