Motivasi Siswa SMA di Kabupaten Klaten untuk Kuliah di Fakultas Pertanian

Intisari Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Klaten dengan tujuan untuk mengetahui motivasi siswa SMA di Kabupaten Klaten untuk kuliah di Fakultas Pertanian dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Pengambilan lokasi dilakukan secara purposive berdasarkan jarak dari pusat kota. Adapun sampel SMA yang terpilih yaitu SMA N 1 Klaten, SMA N 3 Klaten, dan SMA N 1 Wonosari. Dari tiap SMA diambil 20 responden siswa kelas XII secara simple random sampling sehingga total sampel sebanyak 60 siswa. Data dianalisis dengan uji proporsi dan analisis regresi linear berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat motivasi siswa SMA di Kabupaten Klaten untuk kuliah di Fakultas Pertanian termasuk dalam kategori sedang (ragu-ragu). Sikap siswa dan informasi pertanian dari orang tua berpengaruh positif, sedangkan pengalaman siswa berpengaruh negatif terhadap motivasi siswa SMA di Kabupaten Klaten untuk kuliah di Fakultas Pertanian.

Abstract This research was done in Klaten Regency with the purpose to discover the Motivation of Senior high school students in Klaten Regency to study at faculty of agriculture and factors that influences. Descriptive analysis with survey was used in this study as a basic method. The location was taken by purposive sampling based on the distance from the center of the Regency. The sample schools were SMA N 1 Klaten, SMA N 3 Klaten, and SMA N 1 Wonosari. From each sample school was taken 20 students who studied at grade XII by simple random sampling, so that the total sample were 60 students. Data was analyzed by Proportion test and multiple linear regression analysis. The research result shows that senior high school students in Klaten Regency have a moderate motivation to study at faculty of agriculture. Student attitudes and agricultural information from parent influence positively, while the student experience influences negatively to the senior high school motivation in Klaten Regency to study at Faculty of Agriculture.
