STUDI FISIS UNTUK MENENTUKAN KUALITAS AIR TANAH DI DUSUN SENDOWO BLOK F SINDUADI MLATI SLEMAN YOGYAKARTA

Telah dilakukan penelitian tentang pengujian kualitas air tanah di dusun Sendowo Blok F, Sinduadi, Mlati, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Air yang diuji merupakan air tanah warga yang berasal dari sumur gali dan digunakan sebagai sumber air bersih. Kualitas air tanah warga Sendowo Blok F ditentukan dengan melakukan pengukuran parameter fisika (warna, zat padat terlarut, kekeruhan, tegangan permukaan, daya hantar listrik, viskositas, indeks bias, dan suhu), parameter kimia (kesadahan, besi, nitrat, nitrit, pH, dan detergen), serta parameter biologi (total coliform). Hasil pengukuran dibandingkan dengan standar baku kualitas air bersih sesuai dengan peraturan menteri kesehatan RI No.416/Menkes/Per IX/1990 kemudian dilakukan analisa untuk mengetahui karakteristiknya. Dari hasil pengukuran penyimpangan terjadi pada pengujian tegangan permukaan, indeks bias, viskositas, suhu, besi, nitrat, detergen, dan total coliform. Dari penelitian ini diduga penyebab utama penyimpangan hasil pengujian adalah aktivitas rumah tangga dan kepadatan penduduk yang sangat tinggi, karena jumlah total coliform hanya dapat dihasilkan oleh kotoran manusia.

A research to determine groundwater quality in dusun sendowo block F sinduadi mlati sleman has been done. The tested samples were was taken from wells that are used by the villagers for daily water sources. The quality of the groundwater in Sendowo block F was determined by measuring the physical parameters (color, total dissolved solid, turbidity, surface tension, viscocity, refraction idex, and temperature), chemical parameters (degree general of hardness, iron, nitrit, and nitrat contents, detergent, and pH), as well as biological parameter (total coliform). In the end of the measurement, the result of each measurement parameter were compared to the standard of clean water quality based on Regulation of Ministry of Health of Republic of Indonesia No. 416/Menkes/Per IX/1990. The result shows that the quality of the groundwater deviates from the standard as for the surface tension, refraction index, viscocity, temperature, iron content, nitrat content, detergent, and total coliform. We suspectes that the deviation of the result is mainly caused by dense householding activities the area as indicated by the presen of hight total coliform in the sample. This coliform is kind of bacteria that only presence in human feces.
