Kemajuan teknologi industri saat ini sangatlah pesat terutama dibidang PLC (Programmable Logic Controller).Kebutuhan industri saat ini menerapkan sistem otomatis dalam pengoperasiannya, selain dapat digunakan dalam perindustrian PLC juga dapat sebagai pembelajaran dalam sistem control. PLC dipasaran sangatlah mahal sehingga munculah ide untuk membuat alat PLC berbasis mikrokontroler ATMega 16 dengan pengaplikasiannya sebagai sistem control traffic light 4 persimpangan. Sehingga sistem kontrol traffic light bisa dibuat dan dipelajari tanpa harus menggunakan PLC dengan jenis yang ada dipasaran.

Industry technology is progress quickly today especially in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) sector. Industry needs is applying an automated system in its operation, besides can be used in PLC industry can also be a learning in the control system. In the market PLC is very expensive, so came an idea to create a props of PLC based ATMega16 microcontroller with its application as 4 intersection traffic control system. So traffic light control system can be created and studied without using PLC with a kind on the market.
