Pada masa sekarang khususnya dalam dunia medis mengalami perkembangan yang cukup pesat. Salah satunya adalah pemasangan implan pada sendi menggunakan bio material. Dibutuhkan material yang tahan terhadap kondisi tubuh. Untuk menentukan material yang cocok dibutuhkan beberapa pengujian. Salah satunya adalah pengujian laju keausan. Pembuatan alat uji keausan dimulai dari proses perancangan. Proses perancangan sendiri bertujuan untuk menghasilkan desain atau gambar kerja. Setelah semua desain/gambar kerja selesai dibuat dilanjutkan proses pemilihan material yang akan digunakan untuk pembuatan alat uji keausan, seperti baja karbon, stainless steel, dll. Proses berikutnya adalah proses pemesinan yang dilakukan menggunakan mesin bubut, frais, bor dll. Setelah selesai dilakukan proses perakitan, part demi part dirakit sehingga menjadi sebuah alat uji keausan. Final process yaitu dengan melakukan pengujian laju keausan menggunakan alat uji keausan ini. Proses akhir sebelum dilakukan perakitan digunakan chrome sebagai bahan untuk pelapisan part agar tahan terhadap perubahan lingkungan dan karat. Dalam proses perakitan terdapat kendala yang dihadapi seperti adanya part dari mesin yang tidak sesuai dengan ukuran dan harus dibuat kembali.

To choose a suitable material needed some testing. One of them is using wear testing. To make this wear test pin on plate one axis tool it is starting from the design process. The designing process used for make the picture for work on the next process. After all design or picture completed the process continued with the election of material that used for the manufacture of wear test tools, such as carbon steel, stainless steel and the others. Than the next process is manufacturing process or machining process using a lot of machine such as lathe, milling, drill and the others. After all of them completed part to part are assembly to the wear test. And the final process is using this machine for work. The final process before assembly process its using chrome for coating that carbon steel for resist from the environmental change and stain. In the assembly process there are obstacles faced as there are part of the machine that doesn't comply with the size and must be made again.
