ANALISIS PENGARUH HARGA MINYAK TERHADAP EKSPOR DELAPAN NEGARA EKSPORTIR TERBESAR DUNIA PERIODE 1987-2014

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menganalisis pengaruh harga minyak terhadap ekspor pada delapan negara eksportir tersbesar di dunia, yaitu China, Amerika, Jerman, Jepang, Perancis, Belanda, Itali, dan Inggris. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan analisa data panel dari tahun 1987-2014, menggunakan metode Generalized Least-Square (GLS). Hasil analisis menunjukkan bukti bahwa harga minyak berpengaruh positif terhadap ekspor. Hal ini terjadi kerana peningkatan ekspor yang signifikan dari tahun ke tahun membuat income effect lebih besar daripada production cost effect yang ditimbulkan dari naiknya harga minyak. Selain itu, telah menurunnya peranan minyak sebagai faktor input produksi juga membuat hubungan harga minyak dan ekspor semakin positif.

This research aims to analyze the effect of oil price on exports of eight top exporting countries in the world, i.e. China, USA, Germany, Japan, France, Netherlands, Italy, and UK. This research uses panel data analysis with yearly data for 1987-2014 period with GLS method. The results show that oil price has positive and significant relationship to export. This positive and significant relationship is due to the significant year-to-year increase of countries’ export results in higher income effect than production cost effect caused by an increase in oil price. Moreover, a decreas in share of oil as a input production factor also make the relationship between oil price and exports more positive.
