PENGARUH PEMBERSIHAN PADA COOLING TOWER LIANG CHI LRC-SAS-300-C2

2016 | Tugas Akhir | D3 TEKNIK MESIN SVTujuan dari penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah menghitung efektifitas dan kapasitas cooling tower sebelum dan sesudah dibersihkan. Sehingga setelah dihitung dapat diketahui efektifitas dan kapasitas pendinginan pada cooling tower. Data diperoleh melalui observasi, metode literatur, wawancara, dokumentasi dan analisa data. Sistem HVAC (heating, ventilating and air conditoning) merupakan sistem pemanas, sirkulasi udara dan pendingin yang dirangkum menjadi satu. Sistem HVAC memiliki beberapa komponen penting seperti chiller, AHU (Air Handling Unit), ducting, compressor dan cooling tower. Cooling tower didefinisikan sebagai alat penukar kalor yang berfungsi mendinginkan air melalui kontak langsung dengan udara yang mengakibatkan sebagian kecil air menguap. Cooling tower merupakan salah satu komponen penting yang mendukung sistem HVAC agar dapat bekerja karena proses pendinginan dengan media udara digunakan untuk mendinginkan air yang telah panas karena melewati kondensor. Untuk mengetahui pegaruh pembersihan cooling tower maka peneliti harus mencatat data suhu inlet dan outlet setiap jam 10 pagi ke dalam logbook. Data suhu inlet dan suhu outlet yang diperoleh kemudian dihitung rata-ratanya, range, approach, efektifitas dan kapasitas dari cooling tower. Setelah dihitung dapat diketahui bahwa nilai efektifitas sebelum dibersihkan 60,3% setelah dibersihkan nilainya naik menjadi 65,9%. Kenaikan sebesar 5,6% diharapkan mampu menambah masa pakai cooling tower. Nilai efektifitas cooling tower yang meningkat dapat terlihat juga dari nilai kapasitas cooling tower yang sebelumnya 1927,363 kW meningkat menjadi 2032,389 kW.
This study aims to calculate effectiveness and capacity of cooling in cooling tower before and after cleaning. After calculate can determined effectiveness and capacity of cooling in the cooling tower. Data obtained through observation, methods of literature, interviews, documentation and analysis of data. HVAC systems (heating, ventilating and air conditoning) is a heating system, air circulation and cooling are summarized into one. The HVAC system has several critical components such as chiller, AHU (Air Handling Unit), ducting, compressors and cooling towers. Cooling tower is defined as a heat exchanger which cools the water by direct contact with the air resulting in a small portion of water evaporates. Cooling tower is one of the important components that support the HVAC system in order to work for the process of cooling air medium is used to cool the water that had been hot as it passes through the condenser. To determine the cooling tower cleaning pegaruh investigator must record the inlet and outlet temperature data every 10 am into the logbook. Data temperature of inlet and outlet temperatures were then calculated average, range, approach, effectiveness and capacity of the cooling tower. After calculated can be seen that value of effectiveness before being cleared 60.3% after cleaning its value increased to 65.9%. An increase of 5.6% is expected to add life of the cooling tower. Values increased effectiveness of the cooling tower can be seen also from the value of the capacity of cooling tower that previously increased from 1927.363 kW to 2032.389 kW.
