PENGARUH PENEKANAN KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT PADA ORGANISASI DAN SENTRALISASI KEPUTUSAN TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI TERHADAP MEKANISME TATA KELOLA TEKNOLOGI INFORMASI DAN KINERJA ORGANISASI

INTISARI Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menguji sebuah model dengan melihat penekanan knowledge management pada organisasi dan sentralisasi keputusan teknologi informasi pengaruhnya tehadap mekanisme tata kelola teknologi informasi dalam organisasi dan kinerja organisasi, serta untuk menguji keselarasan strategis system informasi dalam memediasi pengaruh mekanisme tata kelola teknologi informasi pada kinerja organisasi. Penelitian ini mengembangkan studi Shally et al. (2015) dengan menambahkan 2 variabel yaitu penekanan knowledge management dan sentralisasi keputusan teknologi informasi yang mengacu pada knowledge-based theory of the firm. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan eksperimen laboratorium 2x2 antar subyek. Penelitian eksperimen ini melibatkan 123 mahasiswa S2 jurusan ilmu akuntansi dan manajemen Fakultas Ekonomika dan Bisnis Universitas Gadjah Mada. Hipotesis di uji dengan menggunakan ANOVA dan SEM Amos. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa penekanan knowledge management pada organsasi dapat meningkatkan kinerja organisasi yang unggul, tetapi tidak meningkatkan efektifitas mekanisme tata kelola teknologi informasi dalam organisasi. Dan sentralisasi keputusan teknologi informasi terbukti dapat mengakibatkan mekanisme tata kelola teknologi informasi yang efektif dan kinerja organisasi yang unggul dibandingkan keputusan teknologi informasi yang desentralisasi. Temuan lain juga menunjukkan bahwa keselarasan strategis sistem informasi dalam organisasi dapat memediasi penuh hubungan antara mekanisme tata kelola teknologi informasi terhadap kinerja organisasi. Lebih lanjut dengan pengujian SEM Amos 20, model penelitian dinyatakan sudah cukup sesuai (fit) dengan data yang dikumpulkan.

ABSTRACT The purpose of this study is to test a model of the emphasis on knowledge management in the organization and centralized decision of information technology and its influence towards governance mechanisms of information technology in the organization and performance of the organization, as well as to test the strategic alignment of information system in mediating the effect of governance mechanisms of information technology on organizational performance. This study developed the study of Shally et al. (2015) by adding two variables: the emphasis on knowledge management and centralized decision of information technology which refers to the knowledge-based theory of the firm. This research was conducted with laboratory experiments 2x2 between subjects. This experimental study involved 123 of master students majoring in accounting and management sciences of Faculty of Economics and Business, Universitas Gadjah Mada. The hypothesis was tested by using ANOVA and SEM Amos. The results of this study indicate that the emphasis on knowledge management in organization can improve the competitiveness of organizational performance, but it does not improve the effectiveness of governance mechanisms of information technology in the organization. In addition, the centralized decisions of information technology are proven to cause the governance mechanism of information technology more effective and more superior of organizational performance compared to the decentralized information technology decisions. Other findings also indicate that the strategic alignment of information systems within an organization can fully mediate the relationship between governance mechanisms of information technology towards organizational performance. Furthermore, by using the testing Amos SEM 20, the research model declared to be reasonably fit with the collected data.
