"SHARED SPACE STREET" SEBAGAI KONSEP PENGEMBANGAN RUANG JALAN DI KORIDOR KOMERSIAL DI KORIDOR JALAN PEMUDA KOTA MAGELANG

Koridor Jalan Pemuda Kota Magelang merupakan koridor komersial dan penghubung antara kota Yogyakarta dan Semarang. Tahun 2010 koridor Jalan Pemuda ini terdiri tiga jalur, yaitu jalur kendaraan bermotor, jalur kendaraan tidak bermotor, dan jalur pejalan kaki di sepanjang koridor jalan Pemuda. Pada tahun 2011 jalur kendaraan tidak bermotor dikembangkan menyatu dengan jalur pejalan kaki, sehingga memunculkan permasalahan konflik pemanfaatan ruang jalan. Dominasi kendaraan bermotor mengakibatkan pergerakan pejalan kaki dari satu trotoar ke trotoar lain terbatas, sehingga menimbulkan kesenjangan jumlah pejalan kaki di masing-masing trotoar. Penataan ruang jalan tersebut memiliki karakteristik shared space street namun belum optimal karena trotoar menjadi sepi pejalan kaki, dan jumlah pengunjung koridor Jalan semakin menurun. Shared apace street di Jalan Pemuda Kota Magelang sebagai konsep pengembangan ruang jalan di koridor komersial dapat dijelaskan sebagai desain ruang jalan yang mensinergiskan kepentingan penggunanya dengan saling berbagi ruang jalan dengan memprioritaskan pergerakan pejalan kaki di atas kepentingan pengguna lain, sehingga dapat terkoneksi dengan baik. Pengguna lain dituntut lebih bertoleransi saat menggunakan ruang agar konflik akibat perbedaan persepsi pengguna dan koneksitas pejalan kaki dapat dihindarkan. Faktor-faktor pada konsep pengembangan shared space street di Jalan Pemuda Kota Magelang yaitu faktor kenyamanan (comfort), konektivitas (connectivity), diversitas (diversity), livabilitas (livability), identitas kawasan (identity).

The Pemuda street corridor in Magelang City has known as a Chinatown neighborhood in a very strategic location. Pemuda street corridor also linking Yogyakarta and Semarang. In 2011, the slow lane merged with the pedestrian ways in the west, so that giving rise to a new problem, namely a conflict of space street utilization like no segregation between the pedestrian zone and non-motorized vehicles zone and misuse pedestrian lane into the parking area and the problem of segmentation street, because the dominance of the motorised vehicle so that the movement of pedestrians from one pedestrian lane to the other pedestrian lane be limited, causing a gap in the number of pedestrian walkways respectively. Pemuda street has a spatial characteristics of shared space street but not optimal because the sidewalks changed into a deserted pedestrian, and the number of visitors at the Pemuda street corridors has decreased. Shared space street in Pemuda street, Magelang City as the concept of the development of the streetspace in commercial corridor. It can be described as the design space of the street that synergize the interests of its users by sharing space with prioritizing the movement of pedestrians over the interests of other users, so it can connect properly. Another user claimed more tolerant when you use spaces so that conflicts resulting from the difference in the perception of users and pedestrian connection can be avoided. Factors on the development of the concept of shared space streets in Pemuda street, Magelang City that is a factor of comfort, connectivity, diversity, livabilty, the region's identity.
