Pengaruh interaksi desa-kota terhadap tingkat kesejahteraan masyarakat di Kecamatan-kecamatan Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara

The development and growth of a particular region is closely related to its existing linkage with the surrounding regions, therefore the regional arrangement could not be done alone without concerning on its spatial linkage with the city region, furthermore it could be between one region to another, because the linkage will form a permanent pattern along with other potential and to be used to strengthen the economic structure of the region. This study (research) tries to look on the influence of rural-urban linkages (interaction) to the prosperous of village community, and fkthermore to define some factor supporting the level of community prosperous in Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. To gain the objective, this research utilize a rationalistic approach using analysis method on qualitative and quantitative. Sampling is conducted in each region unit (kecamatan) of the Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara. The collected data (information) are classified using valuation scale, that is by looking at the lowest and highest value' of each variable and then to be scored according to relationship assumption of each indicator. The next step, the correlation analysis is used to study (observe) the relationship between rural-urban linkages and prosperous level. The strength of rural-urban linkages in each region unit (kecamatan) is observed at activities and services centers, transportation system and the pattern of commodities current existing in each region unit (kecamqtan). While the prosperous level of the community is valuated on life quality of settlement condition, education and community health added by the informatiofi about the number of poor families or pre-prosper and 1'' level prosper (based on result of family prosperous leveling). The research result shows that the prosperous level of a particular region is not only dependent on its own natural resources, but it is also linked to the interaction pattern owned by each region unit (kecamatan). The rural-urban linkages within in the Kabupaten Kutai Kartanegara, has a strong positive-influence on the community prosperous. It is seen that in ihe region unit (kecamatan) with strong interaction (linkage), it is found that the prosperous level is relatively high. However, the strong linkage of rural-urban could also has negative influence on the development of a particular region. This could be seen at Kecamatan Loa Janan and Sebulu, the low support of institution and human resources cause the exploitation of its economic potential resources. A region could develop well if it has considerable natural resources endorsed by strong human resources, insitution, tradition and the interaction pattern is not parasitic and exploitative, but tends to be of two direction and benefit each other (mutualism symbiose). Recommendation that could be given is that in strengthening the linkage of rural and urban might be the promotion approach of local economic development of export market oriented, in addition to this, in deciding the project investation location should able to guarantee optimal * distribution of services centers establishing the suround communia mutualism symbiose
