ANALISIS KEGIATAN EKOWISATA PADA AREA KONSERVASI PENYU PANTAI GOA CEMARA KABUPATEN BANTUL

Kegiatan ekowisata pada area konservasi penyu pantai goa cemara telah dilakukan oleh kelompok konservasi penyu Mino Raharjo sejak tahun 2010. Upaya pelestarian penyu dilakukan oleh kelompok konservasi dengan mengadakan pelepasan tukik setiap tahunnya. Pelepasan tukik ini juga telah menjadi daya tarik utama dalam kegiatan ekowisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui daya tarik wisata konservasi penyu, mengetahui kepengelolaan konservasi penyu dan menganaisis kegiatan ekowisata pada area konservasi penyu pantai goa cemara berdasarkan prinsip ekowisata. Prinsip yang dibahas meliputi prinsip konservasi, partisipasi masyarakat, ekonomi dan edukasi. Metode penelitian ini adalah metode penelitan kualitatif deskriptif. Sumber data yang didapatkan adalah data primer yang diperoleh melalui metode observasi ke lapangan untuk mengadakan wawancara kepada narasumber dan data sekunder yang didapatkan melalui studi pustaka. Hasil data diolah dengan menggunakan teknik deskriptif. Hasil dari penelitian ini menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa kegiatan ekowisata pada area konservasi penyu di Pantai Goa Cemara telah memenuhi standar prinsip ekowisata meskipun belum maksimal, oleh karena itu diperlukan pengembangan dalam kegiatan konservasi.

Ecotourism activities of turtle conservation at goa cemara beach managed by Mino Raharjo group since 2010. Turtle conservation efforts carried out by Mino Raharjo group with the release of turtle into the sea every year. Release of turtle into the sea also has become a major tourist attraction in ecotourism activities. This study aims to determine the tourist attraction of turtle conservation, knowing manageability of turtle conservation and to analyze ecotourism activities turtle conservation area at goa cemara beach based on principles of ecoutourism. The principles covered include principles of conservation, society, economy and education. This research method is descriptive qualitative research method. The source of the data obtained is primary data obtained through observation methods to the field to conduct interviews with informants and secondary data obtained through the library. Results of data processed using descriptive techniques. Result from this research which result in the conclusion that ecotourism activities of turtle conservation area at Goa Cemara Beach have been fulfilling the standard principles of ecotourism though has not been fullest, therefore needed development in conservation activities.
