Data mengenai performa reproduksi sapi Peranakan Ongole dan sapi crossbreed yang masih terbatas, sehingga diperlukan suatu penelitian untuk melengkapi data tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui performa reproduksi sapi Peranakan Ongole dan sapi crossbreed di Kecamatan Ngadirojo, Kabupaten Wonogiri, Jawa Tengah. Penelitian ini menggunakan sapi betina yang sudah pernah bunting dengan kondisi yang sehat dan jumlah sapi Peranakan Ongole yang diamati sebanyak 50 ekor dan sapi crossbreed sebanyak 50 ekor dengan umur antara 3-11 tahun. Metode yang digunakan adalah survey, yaitu dengan wawancara terhadap peternak dan pengamatan langsung di lapangan pada bulan Februari-Maret 2014, kemudian data tersebut dianalisis menggunakan metode statistik t-test. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui bahwa performa reproduksi pada sapi Peranakan Ongole dan sapi crossbreed tidak berbeda secara signifikan. Sapi Peranakan Ongole menunjukkan umur pubertas rata-rata 24.96 ± 6.28 bulan, service per conception rata-rata 2.32 kali, estrus post partus rata-rata 9.44 ± 4.28 bulan, days open rata-rata 10.3 ± 4.54 bulan, dan calving interval rata-rata 19.32 ± 4.52 bulan. Sapi crossbreed menunjukkan hasil umur pubertas rata-rata 23.46 ± 10.36 bulan, service per conception rata-rata 2.31 kali, estrus post partus rata-rata 9.03 ± 5.09 bulan, days open rata-rata 10.0 ± 5.06 bulan, dan calving interval rata-rata 19.02 ± 5.09 bulan.

Data of Peranakan Ongole and crossbreed cows reproductive performance were still limited, a research to complete the data be required. The purpose of the research was to determined the reproductive performance of cows in the district of Ngadirojo, Wonogiri regency, Central Java Province. The research were used the group of female cows that have ever been pregnant with a healthy condition and the number of cows that observed in this research was 50 Peranakan Ongole cows and 50 crossbreed cows between 3 until 11 years old. This research has used a survey method, by interview with the farmers and direct observation on February-March 2014, then the data were analyzed using statistical t-test. The result of the survey shows that reproductive performance of Peranakan Ongole and crossbreed cows did not different significantly. Peranakan Ongole cows shows age of puberty was 24.96 ± 6.28 month, service per conception was 2.32 times, estrus post partus was 9.44 ± 4.28 month, days open was 10.3 ± 4.54 month, and calving interval was 19.32 ± 4.52 month. Crossbreed cows shows age of puberty was 23.46 ± 10.36 month, service per conception was 2.31 times, estrus post partus was 9.03 ± 5.09 month, days open was 10.0 ± 5.06 month, and calving interval was 19.02 ± 5.09 month.
