Jati Plus Perhutani stek pucuk (JPP SP) dikembangkan oleh Perum Perhutani untuk tujuan mempercepat produksi kayu jati. Penyediaan informasi tentang JPP SP untuk referensi pengelolaan di masa yang akan datang. Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengetahui model penduga volume bebas cabang dan hubungannya dengan ruang tumbuh dan indeks kompetisi pada umur 4 sampai 7 tahun di KPH Ngawi. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada 21 petak terpilih meliputi umur 4, 5, 6 dan 7 tahun berdasarkan kriteria pertumbuhan baik. Pada penelitian ini sampel berupa 30 pohon sampel dan 8 pohon tetangga pada tiap petak. Data yang diambil berupa tinggi, diameter, jari-jari tajuk dan tinggi pada jari-jari tajuk. Nilai volume batang bebas cabang diperoleh dengan rumus Smallian, proyeksi tajuk digunakan untuk mengetahui ruang tumbuh dengan rumus lingkaran dimana diameter yang digunakan yaitu diameter tajuk, sedangkan untuk tingkat kompetisi antara pohon sampel dengan pohon tetangga menggunakan rumus Hegyi dimana parameter yang digunakan yaitu jarak, diameter dan tinggi pada jari-jari tajuk. Analisis korelasi digunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara volume bebas cabang, ruang tumbuh dan tingkat kompetisi. Hasil penghitungan digunakan untuk menyusun prototype tabel JPP SP umur 4 sampai 7 tahun dalam lingkup KPH Ngawi. Hasil yang diperoleh yaitu Model Power terpilih untuk menduga volume bebas cabang dengan persamaan Vn = 0,01 x (Un1,642). Volume bebas cabang JPP SP meningkat seiring dengan pertambahan umur dan diikuti oleh pertambahan ukuran sehingga akan menambah kebutuhan ruang tumbuh serta meningkatkan indeks kompetisi antar individu pohon. Prototype tabel JPP SP dapat digunakan untuk memprediksi parameter pertumbuhan untuk rentang umur 4 sampai 7 tahun di KPH Ngawi.

Perhutanis Teak Plus from cuttings has developed by Perum Perhutani to accelerate teak wood production. Information about clear bole volume, growing space and competition level are essentials for stand management purposes. This study aimed to predict clear bole volume and to determine relationship between clear bole volume, growing space and competition level aged 4 to 7 years in Ngawi forest district. Data were collected at 21 selected compartments covering 4, 5, 6 and 7 years of age based on the good growth criteria. The samples of each compartments were 30 dominant trees and 8 neighboring trees for each selected dominant tree. The measurement parameters of dominant trees were height, diameter at breast height, diameter at various height, crown radius and height at crown radius. Clear bole volume was obtained by the Smallian equation and crown projection area was used to determine growing space requirement with a circle formula. The competition level between the tree sample with neighboring trees was obtained by the Hegyi formula. Correlation analysis was used to determine the relationship between clear bole volume, growing space and competition level. The result of the calculation was used to construct prototype stand table of dominant trees for JPP SP aged 4 to 7 years in Ngawi Forest District. The results showed that Power model was selected to predict clear bole volume with the equation Vn = 0.01 x (Un1,642). Clear bole volume and growing space was high correlated with R=0,791. The competition level was increased accordingly clear bole volume and growing space cover ages 4 to 7 years. Information about clear bole volume, growing space and competition were able to construct stand table of dominant trees aged 4 to 7 years in Ngawi Forest District.
