One form of democracy in the village is establishment of The Village House of Representative (BPD). The existence of this institution expected used by the society to actualize their aspiration and interest. But, the problem is how the institution have an optimal function and do not become a new clothe from the old body. Optimizing the role of The Village House of Representative (BPD), one of dominant factor are how the election processing a member of BPD had done. Based on that explanation, the author try presenting the research entitled The Election Processing A Member of The Village House of Representative (The study of BPD in Talang Jawa Village Baturaja Barat Sub district Ogan Komering Ulu Regency). The results of this research are to describe or examine the election processing a member of BPD in Talang Jawa Village Baturaja Barat Sub district Ogan Komering Ulu Regency based on Local Regulation of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency Number 37 of 2000. In this research, the author used the concepts which connected with election processing a member of BPD. The research method used descriptive qualitative method focused on the case study, while the data analysis technique by reduction, display data, decision making and verification, finally able to answer the problem. The data analysis describe that the recruiting process and the establishment of BPD Talang Jawa were running well, fluently and transparent based on Local Regulation of Ogan Komering Ulu Regency Number 37 of 2000 about The Manual Establishment of BPD. The recruiting process and the establishment of BPD Talang Jawa have done directly, generally, freely and secretly (Luber) without intervention from village, sub district or regency government. To optimized the exist of BPD so need a mechanism of processing that more oriented to the quality of human resources on it, because of that the involved or the participation of society have to increased. Beside that it’s important to be developed the effective comunication between a member of society, BPD and village government. All of them as a politics education for the society above all which connected with the elected processing, building and function of that organization, so the member of BPD be able to representative of the society that have elected all of them
