Eufemisme pada Tabu Seksual dalam Serial Televisi How I Met Your Mother

Penelitian ini membahas tentang satuan ekspresi eufemisme pada tabu seksual yang terdapat dalam serial televisi How I Met Your Mother. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk (1) mendeskripsikan bentuk satuan ekspresi eufemisme pada tabu seksual dalam serial televisi How I Met Your Mother, (2) mendeskripsikan referen yang digunakan untuk membentuk ungkapan eufemisme dalam serial televisi How I Met Your Mother, dan (3) mendeskripsikan pembentukan eufemisme dalam serial televisi How I Met Your Mother. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif. Dari penelitian yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh hasil sebagai berikut (1) bentuk eufemisme yang menggantikan ungkapan tabu seksual dalam serial televisi HIMYM dapat berupa kata, frase, dan klausa (2) referen yang digunakan untuk membentuk ungkapan eufemisme yaitu makanan, binatang, ranjang, alat transportasi, alat elektronik, agama, waktu malam hari, permainan, nama diri, aktivitas berbaring atau tidur, keintiman, dan umum, dan (3) pembentukan satuan ekspresi eufemisme yang ditemukan ada 12 macam, yaitu ekspresi figuratif, flipansi, remodelling, sirkumlokusi, umum ke khusus, hiperbola, understatement, one for one substitution, kolokial, metonimia, rhyming slang, dan onomatopoeia. This research aims to describe the uses of euphemism on sexual taboo that appear in TV series How I Met Your Mother. The objectives of this research are (1) to describe the forms of euphemism on the sexual taboo used in TV series How I Met Your Mother, (2) to describe the reference to form the euphemism expressions used in TV series How I Met Your Mother, and (3) to describe the euphemism formation used in TV series How I Met Your Mother. This research uses descriptive qualitative method. The researh results are as follows: 1) the forms of euphemism that substitute the sexual taboo expression in TV series HIMYM consisting of words, phrases, and clauses, 2) the references to form the euphemism expressions are food, animal, bed, transportation, electricity, religion, night time, games, name of person, laying activity, intimacy and general categories, 3) the establishments of euphemism on the sexual taboo in TV series HIMYM consist of 12 methods: figurative expression, flipancy, remodelling, circumlocution, general to spesific, hyperbole, understatement, one for one substitution, colloquial, metonymy, rhyming slang and onomatopoeia.
