THE STRATEGIES OF SLEMAN CULTURE AND TOURISM OFFICE IN PROMOTING SLEMAN DESTINATIONS

Setiap kabupaten atau kota mempunyai Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata yang mengelola kebudayaan dan pariwisata dari daerah masing-masing. Di Yogyakarta terdapat beberapa dinas kebudayaan dan pariwisata, salah satunya adalah Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Sleman. Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Sleman bertanggung jawab dalam mengembangkan, memfasilitasi, mengawasi, dan mempromosikan kebudayaaan dan pariwisata yang ada di daerah Sleman. Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Sleman sangat berperan penting dalam hal mempromosikan berbagai destinasi wisata dan budaya di daerah Sleman. Metode pengambilan data untuk memperoleh informasi mengenai strategi promosi pariwisata di Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Sleman menggunakan metode studi lapangan dan studi pustaka. Dalam studi lapangan, observasi langsung dan wawancara dilakukan untuk mengetahui informasi mengenai profil serta strategi promosi wisata yang diterapkan oleh Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Sleman. Dalam studi pustaka, beberapa buku menjadi referensi yang digunakan dalam mendukung penyelesaian penelitian ini. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Sleman telah menerapkan strategi promosi untuk mempromosikan destinasi wisata Sleman. Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Sleman menggunakan strategi promosi media social, website, media cetak, pameran, event, java promo, famtrip, travel dialog dan IDDS (Ikatan Dimas Diajeng Sleman). Selain strategi promosi Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Sleman mempunyai kendala di bidang Sumber Daya Manusia dan Lobbying. Dengan melakukan beberapa strategi promosi untuk mempromosikan destinasi wisata Sleman, maka tujuan Dinas Kebudayaan dan Pariwisata Sleman untuk membuat destinasi wisata Sleman dapat dikenal oleh seluruh masyarakat dapat tercapai.

Each county or city has Department of Culture and Tourism, which control and manage the culture and tourism of their respective region. In Yogyakarta, there are several departments of culture and tourism, one of which is Sleman Culture and Tourism Office. The Sleman Culture and Tourism Office have responsibility for developing, facilitating, supervising and promoting cultures and tourism in Sleman area. The Sleman Culture and Tourism Office have an important role in terms of promoting various tourist destinations and culture in Sleman area. The methods of collecting the data of information on tourism promotion strategies at Sleman Culture and Tourism Office were done by conducting field and library studies. In field studies, observations and interviews were conducted to find out information about the profile and strategy of promotion tourism destinations opted by Sleman Culture and Tourism Office. In literature study, several books became references used in support to the completion of the study. The results of the study show that Sleman Culture and Tourism Office have implemented promotional strategies to promote tourism destinations in Sleman. The Sleman Culture and Tourism Office using social media, website, printed media, exhibitions, events, java promo, famtrip, travel dialogue and IDDS (Dimas Diajeng Sleman Association)as media promotion. In addition, the strategies of promotion Sleman Culture and Tourism Office has constraints in the field of Human Resources and Lobbying. By doing some promotional strategy to promote Sleman tourism destinations, then the purpose of Sleman Culture and Tourism Office to create and promote tourist destinationsto the whole of society can be achieved.
