Perkembangan dalam dunia teknologi terus berkembang, termasuk teknologi di dunia otomotif. Pengaturan secara mekanik yang banyak digunakan sebelumnya, sekarang berubah menggunakan ECM listrik (Electronic Control Module). ECM mengatur banyak hal dalam mesin pembakaran modern seperti, sistem pengapian, pengisian, dan bahan bakar di kendaraan. Semua itu bertujuan untuk mencapai tingkat efisiensi yang tinggi . Mesin modern yang telah digunakan ECM (Electronic Control Module) sebagai pengatur sistem bahan bakar diklaim mempunyai efisiensi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan dengan jenis bahan bakar. Partikel bahan bakar dikeluarkan oleh injeksi sistem bahan bakar elektronik (EFI). Pada mesin modern injeksi bahan bakar tersebut akan lebih kecil dengan bantuan injektor . Maksud dan tujuan pembuatan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk menguji dan membandingkan premium dengan konsumsi bahan bakar pertamax dari mesin Daihatsu Taruna. Pengujian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa parameter seperti, rasio kompresi, jenis bahan bakar dan rpm berdasarkan mesin.

Development in the world of technology continues to envolve, including the development of technology in the automotive world. Formerly regulated mechanically are now regulated by the electrical ECM (Electronic Control Module). ECM set many things in modern combustion engines such as, ignition systems, charging, and fuel in vehicle. All it aims to achieve a high efficiency rate. Modern machines that have been used ECM (Electronic Control Module) as a regulator of the fuel system in claim has higher efficiency compared with type of fuel. Fuel particles ejected by the system electronic fuel injection (EFI) found on modern machines will be smaller with the help of the injector. The purpose and the goal of making this final project was to test and compare premium with pertamax fuel consumption of the engine Daihatsu Taruna. The test is performed by several parameters, compression ratio, type of fuel and rpm based on machine.
