PENGARUH PENGGUNAAN INTERNET TERHADAP ADOPSI TEKNOLOGI BUDIDAYA BAWANG MERAH DI LAHAN PASIR PANTAI KABUPATEN BANTUL

Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kecamatan Sanden Kabupaten Bantul dengan tujuan mengetahui: 1) Penggunaan internet oleh petani lahan pasir pantai di Kabupaten Bantul dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, 2) Tingkat adopsi teknologi budidaya bawang merah dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, dan 3) Pengaruh penggunaan internet dan faktor-faktor lainnya terhadap adopsi teknologi budidaya bawang merah. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif dengan teknik survei. Pengambilan sampel desa dan kelompok tani dilakukan secara purposif, sedangkan pengambilan sampel petani responden dengan acak sederhana. Total sampel berjumlah 60 petani yaitu 30 petani dari Kelompok Tani Manunggal, Desa Srigading dan 30 petani dari Kelompok Tani Phitisari, Desa Gadingsari. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah uji proporsi dan analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat penggunaan internet oleh petani termasuk kategori rendah. Pendidikan dan sikap petani berpengaruh positif terhadap penggunaan internet, sedangkan umur dan kredibilitas internet tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap penggunaan internet. Tingkat adopsi teknologi budidaya bawang merah oleh petani termasuk kategori tinggi. Peran penyuluh dan peran kelompok tani berpengaruh positif terhadap adopsi teknologi budidaya bawang merah. Penggunaan internet dan motivasi tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap adopsi teknologi budidaya bawang merah.

This research was conducted in Sanden subdistrict Bantul district with the purpose of finding out: 1) the use of internet by onion farmers and the factors that affect it, 2) Levelitation the technology adoption of onion cultivation and the factors that affect it, and 3) the influence of the internet use and other factors toward technology adoption of onion cultivation. The method that used in this research was descriptive approach by survey technique. The sampling of village and farming groups were done purposively, while the sampling of respondent farmers were done randomly. The number of total sample was 60 farmers consisted of 30 farmers from Manunggal Farming Group, Srigading Village, and 30 farmers from Phitisari Farming Group, Gadingsari Village. The analysis methods used were proportion test and multiple linear regression analysis. The result of this research showed that the use of internet by farmers is belonged to low category. The education and farmers attitude positively affected toward the use of internet, while age and credibility of internet didn't have significant affect. The technology adoption of onion cultivation by farmer is belonged to high category. The role of the extension worker and the role of farming group positively affected toward technology adoption of onion cultivation. The use of internet and motivation didn't have significant affect toward technology adoption of onion cultivation.
