ANALISIS NEUTRONIK TERAS REDUCED-MODERATION BOILING WATER REACTOR (RBWR-Th)1050 MWth

2016 | Skripsi | S1 TEKNIK NUKLIRTelah dilakukan studi analisis neutronik terhadap teras RBWR-Th (Reduced Moderation Boiling Water Reactor) yang diperasikan pada daya 1050 MWt. RBWR-Th adalah salah satu jenis BWR (Boiling Water Reactor). Studi dilakukan dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak Serpent continuous-energy Monte Carlo reactor physics burnup calculation code. Parameter desain teras yang divariasikan dalam studi ini adalah kadar U-233 pada seed zone bahan bakar baru yang dinyatakan dalam fraksi massa (pada kadar 9,35%, 9,85%, 10,355, 11,10% dan 12,10%) dan jarak pitch batang bahan bakar (1,37cm, 1,41cm, 1,43cm, 1,45cm dan 1,49 cm). Dari hasil penelitian, diperoleh bahwa semakin tinggi kadar bahan fisil pada seed zone bahan bakar fresh, nilai faktor multiplikasi efektif akan semakin tinggi, nilai rasio konversi akan semakin kecil, laju pembakaran Th-232 dan laju pembiakan U-233 akan semakin berkurang. Semakin lebar jarak pitch batang bahan bakar, nilai faktor multiplikasi efektif akan semakin tinggi, nilai rasio konversi akan semakin kecil, pembakaran Th-232 dan pembiakan U-233 akan semakin berkurang.
Neutronic analysis study on RBWR-Th (Reduced Moderation Boiling Water Reactor) core has been done which is operated in 1050 MWth. This study has conducted using the Serpent continuous energy Monte Carlo reactor physics burnup calculation code. Core design parameters that were varied are the content of fissile material (233U) within fresh fuels seed zone which are expressed in mass fraction (9,35%, 9,85%, 10,355, 11,10% and 12,10%) and fuel rod pitch (1,37cm, 1,41cm, 1,43cm, 1,45cm and 1,49 cm). The higher U-233 isotope contents within fresh fuel, effective multiplication factor will be higher, conversion ratio will be smaller, burning rate of 232Th and breeding rate of 233U will be smaller. The wider fuel rod pitch, effective multiplication factor will be higher, conversion ratio will be smaller, burning rate of 232Th and breeding rate of 233U will be smaller.
