ARUS KESADARAN DALAM NOVEL LA JALOUSIE KARYA ALAIN ROBBE-GRILLET

Novel La Jalousie karya Alain Robbe-Grillet digunakan sebagai objek material dalam skripsi ini. Terdapat beberapa permasalahan yang muncul dalam novel, yaitu unsur-unsur pembangun cerita dan teknik penceritaan yang digunakan oleh pengarang yang mempengaruhi isi dan bentuk cerita. Novel La Jalousie digambarkan dengan menggunakan sebuah teknik, sehingga pembaca tidak akan dengan mudah memahami isi cerita pada pembacaan pertama. Oleh karena itu, essai Pour Un Nouveau Roman digunakan sebagai pijakan dalam menganalisis unsur-unsur pembangun cerita yang digunakan dalam novel La Jalousie seperti unsur tokoh, cerita, keterkaitan, serta bentuk dan isi. Teori arus kesadaran (stream of consciousness) digunakan untuk menjabarkan bagaimana fungsi pikiran narator yang dilanda rasa cemburu menyampaiakan sebuah cerita. Selain itu digunakan metode montase dan asosiasi untuk membantu menjelaskan perasaan tokoh utama yang disampaikan secara implisit oleh pengarang. Berdasarkan penelitian, cerita La Jalousie tidak ingin menyampaikan apapun selain isi pikiran narator tak terlihat yang dilanda kecemburuan.

The novel La Jalousie written by Alain Robbe-Grillet in 1957 is used as the material object of this thesis. There are some problems that appear in the novel such as the element to build the story and technique used by authors who influenced the content and form of the story. The novel La Jalousie is being narrated using a technique so that the reader will not easily understand the content of the story at the first reading. Therefore, essay Pour Un Nouveau Roman is used as a theoretical framework for analyzing the principle elements of the story such as character, story, relation, as well as form and content. The theory of stream of consciousness is used to explain how the narrator�s mind that is tormented by his jealousy functions in narrating a story. In addition, the method of montage and association are used to support the analysis of the feeling of the main character that is conveyed implicitly by the author. Based on the analysis, La Jalousie aims solely to deliver the thought of the invisible narrator who is tormented by jealousy.
