INTISARI Detektor Gas merupakan suatu sensor yang mampu mendeteksi kebocoran gas alam di udara bebas. Dengan adanya detektor gas ini diharapkan mampu mengurangi risiko yang ditimbulkan terhadap adanya kebocoran gas di instalasi gas khusunya di area separator gas PLTGU Tambaklorok, mengingat di area separator gas PLTGU Tambaklorok ini belum adanya detektor gas. Tujuan Proyek Akhir ini adalah dapat merancang sistem pendeteksi kebocoran gas dengan menggunakan ultrasonik detektor gas , dimana detektor ini tidak memerlukan sentuh langsung dengan media yang dideteksi melainkan hanya memanfaatkan intensitas suara yang dihasilkan dari kebocoran gas pada instalasi gas yang ada.

ABSTRACT Gas Detector is a sensor capable of detecting leaks of natural gas in the air. With the gas detector is expected to reduce the risk posed to a gas leak in gas installations especially in the area gas separator PLTGU Tambaklorok, given in area PLTGU Tambaklorok gas separator is the lack of gas detectors. The purpose of this final project is able to design a detection system using ultrasonic leak gas detector, wherein these detectors do not require direct touch with the media were detected but only utilizing the intensity of the sound produced from gas leakage in the existing gas installations.
