Perindustrian merupakan salah satu sektor yang berpengaruh pada berbagai bidang dalam suatu negara, karena itu perlu adanya pengembangan sistem yang membangun keseluruhan proses produksi dalam industri. Dengan menggunakan otomatisasi dalam seleksi membuat waktu yang dibutuhkan lebih singkat, efisien dan keuntungan yang diperoleh perusahaan lebih tinggi. Pengimplementasian secara otomatis pada sistem dapat menggunakan sebuah PLC (Programable Logic Controller). Sebagian besar perindustrian telah menerapkan sistem utama menggunakan PLC sebagai alat kendali utama kerja produksinya. Maka dari itu dibuatlah rancangan miniatur suatu mesin penyeleksi dan penghitung kardus menggunakan PLC sebagai alat kendalinya. Pada proses ini terdapat dua jenis ukuran kardus yaitu kardus ukuran 6 cm dan 4 cm. Selama dilakukan simulasi percobaan, semua kardus ukuran 4 cm dan 6 cm berhasil masuk ke dalam box yang telah tersedia disamping konveyor. Sistem mampu menyeleksi semua kardus tersebut secara otomatis, menyeleksi kardus ukuran 6 cm dan ukuran 4 cm kemudian memindahkannya ke tempat yang telah ditentukan. Jumlah kardus yang terseleksi ditampilkan pada LCD yang di program oleh Arduino. Semua proses seleksi tersebut dikendalikan oleh PLC. Dengan adanya keberhasilan otomatisasi ini tentu saja akan mempermudah kinerja manusia.

By using automation in the selection of the time required to make a shorter, streamlined and corporate profits higher. Implementation of the system will automatically be able to use a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller). Most of the industry has implemented major systems using PLC as the main control tool production work. Therefore they invented a machine miniaturized design selectors and counters cardboard using PLC as a means of control. In this process, there are two types of size of cardboard box; those are 6-cm and 4–cm cardboard boxes. During the simulation, all cardboard in both mentioned sizes were successfully entered in the box that has been available beside the conveyor. The system was able to sort all cardboard boxes automatically, sorting the cardboard boxes with the size of 6 cm and 4 cm and transported them to the place determined. All sorting processes were controlled by PLC. Given the achievement of such automation obviously will ease the human work.
