INTISARI Transformator tenaga merupakan peralatan utama dalam sistem penyaluran tenaga listrik, salah satu bagian paling kritis dari trafo tenaga adalah isolasi trafo. Isolasi trafo berupa isolasi kertas, minyak, dan keramik. Seiring dengan usia operasi trafo maka kondisi isolasi dapat mengalami pemburukan, ini dapat disebabkan karena tegangan lebih, suhu operasi yang tinggi, korona, kontaminasi, kerusakan mekanis maupun kelembaban. Kegagalan isolasi dapat menyebabkan kegagalan operasi atau bahkan kerusakan trafo, oleh karena itu sangat diperlukan untuk mengetahui proses pemburukan pada isolasi sehingga kegagalan trafo dalam beroperasi dapat dihindarkan. Salah satu metode untuk mengetahui proses pemburukan isolasi adalah dengan pengujian tangen delta.

Go along with operation age trafo so condition isolate can to deterioration. this can be caused because tensing more, the high operation temperature, corona, contamination, mekanis's damage and humidity. Insulation failure can cause failure of the operation or even damage to the transformator , therefore it is very necessary to know the process of deterioration in the insulation so that the failure of the transformer in operation can be avoided . One method to determine the deterioration of the isolation process is by testing tangent delta .
