Tesis ini menggambarkan sebuah proses akulturasi dalam pranata ekonomi yang dilihat melalui aktivitas mata pencaharian masyarakat, yang menghasilkan sebuah model ekonomi baru yang disebut dengan ekonomi hibrida Proses akulturasi ini terjadi sebagai suatu dampak adanya proses pariwisata pedesaan dalam wujud desa wisata yang ada di Dukuh Grogol, Sleman, Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini adalah hasil dari penelitian lapangan (field research), dengan menggunakan metode partisipasi observasi dan wawancara mendalam. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pranata ekonomi (sistem mata pencaharian) merupakan unsur kebudayaan yang dominan mengalami perubahan akibat adanya proses pariwisata pedesaan, khusunya pada kasus Desa Wisata Grogol. Ekonomi hibrida pada penelitian ini, terbentuk dari proses akulturasi antara ekonomi tradisional yang bertumpu pada sektor pertanian dan non pertanian dengan ekonomi rasional (pariwisata). Pada kasus akulturasi alam sistem mata pencaharian terdapat akulturasi yang berhasil dan akulturasi masih dalam proses. Akulturasi yang berhasil ini membentuk model ekonomi baru (ekonomi hibrida), sedangkan akulturasi masih dalam proses ini lamban dalam berakulturasi. Wujud dari ekonomi hibrida yang lahir akibat adanya proses akulturasi di Dukuh Grogol antara lain: sawah wisata, perikanan wisata, jasa transportasi berupa kereta wisata, wisata tanah liat berupa industri gerabah, pekerja seni dan sanggar seni, dan juga melahirkan satu jenis mata pencaharian baru yaitu pemandu desa wisata. Untuk mata pencaharian yang masih dalam proses akulturasi, antara lain: peternakan, perdagangan dan homestay (penginapan).

This thesis describes a process of acculturation in economic institutions that seeing through the livehood society, that produces a new economic model that called ahybrid economica. The process of acculturation occurs as an impact of the process of rural tourism in the form of tourism village in the Grogol village, Sleman, Yogyakarta. This research is a result of the field research that using observation participation method and indept interview. The results indicate that the economic institution is the most domonant cultural element that changes because the process of village tourism in the Grogol Tourism Village. The Hybrid economy formed from process of acculturation between traditional economy, that relies on agriculture and non agriculture with rational economy in tourism process. In the case of aculturation on livehood systems, there are successful acculturation and stil in the process of acculturation. The successful acculturation formed a new economic model (hybrid economy), while still in the process of acculturation is slow in acculturated. The forms of hybrid economy that produced because a process of acculturation in The Grogol Village among other: rice-field tours, fishing tours, tourist train as afrom transportation services, pottery industry as a from clay tours, art workers and art gallery's, and also produces a new type of livelihood that called a guide of tourism village. The livelihood that still in the process of acculturation among others: livestock, trading, and homestay (lodging).
