The development of women's fashion industry in China is closely linked with the culture that determines the continuity of political economy activity and the changing of women's fashion. It is reflected on the evolution of women's fashion in China since the Cultural Revolution until now, that has brought up the phenomenon of meinu jingji (beauty economy) as a contributing factor to the rapid consumption of women fashion products and beauty in China. Culture also influences the behavioral change of fashion industry actors and government to adapt with the current characteristics of the women's fashion industry through innovations, creativity, and policies.
