KADAR HORMON TESTOSTERON PADA TIKUS WISTAR JANTAN HIPERTIROID YANG DIINDUKSI DENGAN LEVOTHYROXINE

Hipertiroid merupakan suatu keadaan dimana kelenjar tiroid menghasilkan terlalu banyak hormon tiroid. Keadaan hipertiroid ini membuat tingginya sintesis hormon T3 yang mana akan mengakibatkan abnormalitas sekresi testosteron yang disintesiskan oleh testis. Saat ini penelitian mengenai penanganan hipertiroid masih terfokus pada pengembalian kadar hormon tiroid tanpa melihat pengaruh terhadap organ reproduksi. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui kadar hormon testosteron pada tikus putih jantan galur wistar yang dikondisikan hipertiroid. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan 10 ekor tikus jantan galur wistar usia tiga sampai empat bulan yang dibagi menjadi dua kelompok. Kedua kelompok dikondisikan hipertiroid dengan diinduksi levothyroxine melalui oral dengan dosis 50 µg/ekor/hari selama 30 hari. Tahap selanjutnya kelompok satu diberi perlakuan dengan obat antitiroid dan kelompok dua tidak diberi perlakuan apapun. Perlakuan ini dilakukan selama enam minggu. Kadar hormon testosteron dapat diketahui dengan menggunakan uji ELISA (Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay) dan perhitungan T-test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terjadinya penurunan kadar testosteron pada tikus kelompok satu dan kelompok dua sesudah perlakuan. Hal ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa kadar testosteron dalam darah sejalan dengan tinggi rendahnya kadar tiroid.

Hyperthyroidism is a condition caused the amount of thyroid hormone secreted by the thyroid gland is too high. This condition also increased T3 hormone which would make abnormal secretion of testosterone produced by the testes. in this era, the research of hypethyroidism treatment still focused to made decline of thyroid hormone levels without knew the effect on the reproduction. The objective of the present study was to knew the levels of testosterone in male wistar rats conditioned hyperthyroidism.The objective used ten male Wistar rats at three until four months of age were divided into two groups. Both grups conditioned hiperthyroid with induced levothyroxine by oral, the dose of 50 µg /rat /day for 30 days. The next stage group one was treated by antithyroid drugs and group two were not given any treatment. The treatment carried out for six weeks. The Testosterone levels can determine by using ELISA (Enzyme-linked Immunosorbent Assay) and T-test calculation.The result showed decline the testosterone levels in rats of group one and group two after treatment. It can conclude that the levels of testosterone in the blood consistent by high and low of thyroid levels.
