Analisis penerapan Total Safety Management di perusahaan konstruksi :: Studi keselamatan dan kesehatan kerja berdasar Total Quality Management di pabrik beton pracetak PT Wijaya Karya (WIKA Beton)

2002 | Tesis | Magister ManajemenPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui dan menganalisis penerapan TSM (Total Safety Management) di perusahaan konstruksi WIKA Beton, Boyolali, Jawa Tengah. Konsep dan teori yang digunakan adalah dengan pendekatan TQM (Total Quality Management) dari Deming Management Method yang dikembangkan oleh M. Karuppan (1996) dengan tujuh variabel total safety management yaitu visionary leadership, employee empowerment, learning safety process management, continuous improvement, employee dan customer saltisfaction. Dari hasil analisis dengan metode kualitatif didapatkan hasil bahwa WIKA Beton telah melaksanakan sistem keselamatan dan kesehatan keria (SMK3) dengan baik melalui beberapa program K3. Dari analisis kuantitatif terhadap 7 (tujuh) variabel TSM didapatkan hasil bahwa semua variabel tersebut mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan dan simultan. Visionary leadership mempunyai hubungan yang simultan dengan employee empowerment dan learning, safety process management berhubungan secara signifikan dengan continous improvement dan employee fulfillment demikian juga dengan customer satisfaction. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa total safety management dapat menjadi salah satu jalan bagi peningkatan dan pencapaian TQM. Penerapan TSM secara terpadu dan kontinyu akan membawa pentlaruh positif bagi perusahaan.
The study of total safety management in construction company purpose to analysis the application of TSM (Total Safety Manauement) in WIKA Beton, . Bovolali. Central Java. This study uses the TQM (Total Quality Management) approach from Deming Management Method that modified by M. Karuppan (1996) with 7 (seven) variables total safety management consisting of visionary leadership, employee empowerment, learning, safety process management, continuous improvement, employee fulfillment and customer satisfaction. The result of analysis uses qualitative and quantitative methods show that Beton had applied total safety management through safety management programs in concrete factory. The analysis of TSM (Total Safety Management) variable finds that all varibles have simultaneous relationships. Management hard ability to explain safety management vision which was supported by employee empowerment and learning process, so its support safety process management in production process. The attention of safety process management would affect on continuous improvement, employee fulfillment and customer satisfaction. The conclusion of this study was total safety management can improve, TQM performance and the application of TSM will give positive affect to the concrete factory, All of companies must apply TSM to achieve world class safety and win the global competition.
